The End is Here...''

''From executive producer Gavin Polone (Panic Room) and writer/creator David Seltzer (The Omen), comes this six-hour event series starring Bill Pullman (Independence Day) as Harvard professor Dr. Richard Massey, an astrophysicist whose certainty that all worldly events can be explained by Science, is challenged by a nun, Sister Josepha Montafiore (Natascha McElhone, "Solaris"), who leads him on a journey through the unfamiliar world of faith.

''Drawn together by personal tragedy, these unlikely partners -- one who worships God and one who worships Science -- are propelled into a deepening mystery, finding evidence that the world, as predicted by The Book of Revelation, has reached The End of Days.

''The time of miracles is once again at hand -- both Heaven sent, and sent from Hell. Satanist Isaiah Haden (Michael Massee, "24") has answered the calling of his "Lord" to make certain the Armies of Darkness will triumph in the apocalyptic battle to come.

''Notable guest stars include John Rhys-Davies ("The Lord of The Rings"), Tobin Bell ("Saw"), Fred Durst (lead singer of the rock band "Limp Bizkit") and Mark Rendall ("The Interrogation of Michael Crowe").

''The pilot was directed by David Semel (NBC's American Dreams), the series directed by Academy Award-winning producer Lili Fini Zanuck (Driving Miss Daisy, Rush) and Leslie Linka Glatter (Law & Order: SVU).

  • Revelations started out interesting but seemed like it copped out in the end. What began as an intriguing series about the coming of the "End of Days" ended up being more of a father searching for son with some religion mixed in.moreless

'Revelations' started out with the promise of a show that dealt with the coming of the anti-christ into the world. This quickly shifted from the main focus to the background. While there were still interesting religious musings mixed into the show, it soon became a show that centered mostly on the quest of a father to find his son.

The ending also wasn't that good. There was some talk in the beginning that there could be more episodes to come for this series but lackluster ratings crushed that idea so, while the main plot was resolved, there was a setup that is left hanging.

There was potential here for a thought-provoking and entertaining religous thriller but I was left wanting more.moreless

  • Great show.

    "Perfect"
A show about the end of the world, this show outperforms the omen. a bunch of movies using the same end of days theme have tried but failed, revelations gets it right. It's not all about religion if it had to do anything about it, it's a drama using supernatural themes and a sci fi twist. It's exciting, it reminds me of Friday the 13th the series. This is type of show is made for the 21st century. Bill Pullman plays a very convincing astrophysicist with personal battles to deal with. Natascha McElhone plays a perfect guiding light for Bill. It's a great show.moreless

This is OK show, you get over the whole story after you watch it for the second time but it is still an interesting show. The guy who plays Isaiah Haden is fantastic in his role as a Statanic leader, its almost as if he is an evil person. However, he doesn't steal the show as the other actors are believable in their respective roles. It was interesting as to find out how Massee and Sister Josepha were going to prevent the birth of the Antichrist and at the same time stop Haden from creating mass destruction over the world.moreless

  • This show is a personal favorite of mine. It really got me interested in the Bible... Go Cavs Go Blue

This show was great. I can't believe that they cancelled it. How did people not watch this. A man once told me that anything that gets you interested in religion is good for it. And this is an example. This really got me interested in the Bible (Revelations in particular). I really hope that this DVD sells well so that there might be a chance of renewal...
