(Charlotte is crushed after seeing Victoria's session on video and runs out)
Victoria: Charlotte, wait!
Charlotte: (crying) No! I'm done dressing up and pretending to be someone I'm not! You wish I was never born? That makes two of us.
(Victoria's therapy session on Hamptons Exposed)
Dr. Banks: How's your relationship with your daughter?
Victoria: Tense. Distant. Truth is, I've never felt close to Charlotte, and sometimes I wonder if having a second child was a mistake.
(Emily's therapy session on Hamptons Exposed)
Emily: (on video) It takes a lot for me to get physical with anybody. I just wish I knew for sure that I could trust him.
(Everly's therapy session on Hamptons Exposed)
Everly: (on video) How do I explain to my husband that I slept with his sister? He's never going to forgive me!
Victoria: (angrily to Ashley) Turn it off!
(Miriam's therapy session on Hamptons Exposed)
Dr. Banks: And have you hit bottom?
Miriam: Close. I drove my children to summer camp loaded on painkillers and vodka.
Emily: (narrating) The greatest weapon anyone can use against us is our own mind. By preying upon the doubts and uncertainities that already lurk there. Are we true to ourselves or do we live to the expectations of others? And if we are open and honest, can we ever truly be loved? Can we find the courage to release our deepest secrets? Or in the end are we all unknowable even to ourselves.
Emily: Most of the memories I have from childhood are happy ones. Warm summer days filled with love and light and the certainty that even the darkest storm would eventually pass. And for a while at least, they always did.
Dr. Banks: And then?
Emily: And then my parents car went off a cliff and they were both killed.
