Okay let me stretch my legs here for a second, it's been a while since I've thrown together one of these thanks to the winter break so I'll need a few minutes to warm back up. First off let's begin with my choice for the photo to go with the article because I feel like it encapsulated my reaction to this entire episode. Just lik...

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Patriot Games": Time to Resist
I just want to say this very quickly before we dive in on this week's episode - If Season 1 had been more like this Revolution would have had a nice long run, boy this is some fun television.

This week we started off with an ominous view of a ...Read more

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Love Story": The Evil U.S. Empire
This week we jumped right back in where we left off last week as Miles was being dragged into the dire red door room inside the War Clan's hideout. Inside we were previously introduced to an ill-looking woman who looked miserable and lots of implements with blood on and in them. I posed several questions with regards to why the blood donors needed to be killed each and every time instead of consistently being kept alive and drained and the explanation kind of made sense (I think? My knowledge of blood transfusions is not quite what I would call professional grade). It turned out that the poor woman on the bed was Leader's wife who was suffering from renal failure.

While Leader was giving us this explanation, Miles was strapped down onto a gurney and was told he would be the next donor. Leader's wife gave him ...Read more

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Everyone Says I Love You": Aaron Reclaims His Title
Now that's better. After two weeks of slow pacing, Revolution got back on track this week with a fast paced episode and two MAJOR reveals. Let's break it down.

We started off the episode with our heroes putting into motion what seemed to be another rescue mission that ...Read more

Revolution "Mis Dos Padres": Since When are Charlie and Jason the Voices of Reason? (PHOTO RECAP)
Unfortunately this week we received another subpar episode of Revolution. Instead of going into superdetail about it at the start this week I would like to dive into another subject that we have yet to cover. Why do the Patriots need to be doing nefarious things (not including the bombing of Atlanta and Philly)? They seem to have complete control over the majority of the Monroe Republic and Georgia, they eliminated all of the leadership that could have raised a resistance, and they have established diplomatic relations with the other U.S. nations. Why then do they need these reeducation camps and whatever other nefarious plots Jason discovered? When the populace is firmly secure (which it appears to be) what's the problem? Maybe if we found out the President was seriously loony tunes or that there was some ultimate plan that they needed all these reeducated soldiers for it ...

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Dead Man Walking": Rachel's Men
Before we get to talking about this week's episode I would just like to start off with a short summary of all of the men in Rachel's life.

Son - Dead
Husband - Dead
Miles - Brother-in-law/Lover, Former Bloody Co-Dictator of Monroe Republic
Monroe - Nemesis, BFF of daughter, responsible for son and husband's deaths
Aaron - friend(?) who can light people on fire with his mind
Father - new head bad guy in charge, traitor, patriot spy
Best friend growing up - Patriot spy, tried to kill her, she killed him

Let's just say that all the scenes where Rachel looks crazy staring off into space start to make a little more sense when you look at this list.

Anyway, this week we started off with Miles and Monroe attempting to set up the Patriots for Fry's death

Miles and Monroe left behind a shell casing and blood drops to ...Read more

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Patriot Act": The Good Doctor Porter
This week's episode of Revolution was much darker than the typical episode of Revolution as we spent a lot of time following Dr. Porter's descent into collusion with the Patriots. Consequently, this week's recap will be slightly shorter (screencap-wise) because it is really hard to come up with a fun take on a TV show when serious drama is on the screen.

Starting off this week Rachel was able to successfully unearth Monroe before he died from a lack of oxygen. This was fortunate because we were then introduced to the best character that this show has ...Read more

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "One Riot, One Ranger": The 800 Pound Gorilla
This week's episode of Revolution was a bit slower paced this week as the writers took a chance to advance both main plots towards their next larger action packed steps. To start off the episode we began with our favorite Season 2 duo - Team Marlie.

Team Marlie had finally arrived in Willoughby and were taking their time scoping out the new owners (the Patriots) to see if they could find a way in without drawing attention to themselves. Meanwhile, Truman was shown the bodies of the two men Aaron burned to death at the railway and told his men ...Read more

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Born in the U.S.A.": Reboot Approved
Okay everybody that was awesome. We all knew that there was going to be a serious reboot of the series with the start of the season and boy was it a success - let's get to it.

The new season opened at the exact moment we left off last season - with 20 seconds to go before the nukes sent by Randall were to impact Atlanta and Philadelphia. Aaron desperately tried to turn the power back off, but as we learned later he was unsuccessful and Philadelphia and Atlanta were indeed destroyed.

Jump forward 6 months and the first character we ...Read more

PHOTO RECAP: Revolution "Come Blow Your Horn": Rescuing in Circles
Sigh. This was another slow week on Revolution. After last week's slow episode, I came to the defense of the writing room and the show as I truly did appreciate gaining the perspective of how Dr. Porter came to be in the current position that he finds himself in. However, this week I find myself much less patient and a little frustrated that Revolution is slightly turning back into old Revolution where everything that is going to happen in the episode is extremely obvious and telegraphed. I'm not sure what happened to the rapid fire madness that had the show off to such a hot start this season, but I dearly hope that we return to it soon (it would also be nice to move on from Willoughby, but it doesnt seem like that is going to happen anytime soon). Again apologies for the delay in the recap ...Read more

Revolution comes from the minds of J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke. It is an action adventure in which a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape. This is a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology -- computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights -- have mysteriously blacked out.
