  • Nasty Pieces Of Work.

    7.5
Well, things are falling into place now. Siobahn has Tyler wondering what in the world is going wrong and Malcolm certainly has Charlie breaking a sweat, even though the police were silly enough to let him slip through their fingers again. At least Bridget and Malcolm have put all the pieces together and realised that Charlie has Gemma.

I have to feel sorry for Bridget, though, she still believes that her sister is dead and thinks that Charlie/John is behind that as well as Gemma's disappearance. Oh well, at least she is half right.

I enjoyed seeing Amber Benson again, even if it was only briefly. Her character was an important one, though. Some nice and touching moments between Andrew and Bridget with regard to 'their' anniversary. Nice bits of suspense surrounding Charlie's ransom demand and everyone realising that Bridget was (as Siobahn) was telling the truth about him having Gemma. I knew Gemma would die, it was a foregone conclusion and necessary for plot development but Juliet's revelation about what supposedly happened between her and Mr. Carpenter is certainly going to rock quite a few boats.moreless
  • So boring...

    1.0
SMG is an appalling bad actress. She has managed to make a fairly interesting story line seem incredibly boring. She is so expressionless and every dialogue is delivered in a flat monotone. There's no range no emotion to her acting. If you want a show that's fast moving with interesting plot twists then watch Revenge. This show puts you to sleep, in fact a skipped a few episodes and it felt like I hadn't missed a thing.moreless
  • Great mid-season cliffhanger episode

    9.0
great episode and i love the show, but i wish they hadnt let us know gemma was actually alive and then kill her off an episode later anyway. I liked the idea of having a character who knew she was really Bridget (except for that douche malcolm).
  • Trite, cliched, predictable...

    6.5
...so why do I keep tuning in each week? Honestly, I have no clue. I despise SMG's brand of acting, where she wanders around looking spaced out. I groan at the predictable 'twists', which you can see coming a mile off. I don't like most of the characters. Some are too dumb to live (also known as Gemma). I don't think this has enough plot in it to last beyond one season - I can't imagine how it would go beyond that, stretching this out. I also can't buy into the Andrew/Bridget relationship as I cannot for the life of me imagine how it could ever survive, "Yes, okay, I pretended to be your dead wife and never let you know that she was gone....".

And yet...I'm still watching. And still - mostly - enjoying. Go figure.

  • I hate myself for loving you

    7.5
Midnight's hitting, Gemma where are you? Sems what poor Henry is finally singing too, messing around with his wife's best friend for months, only to end up alone, making excuses to his children and police officers everywhere. Meanwhile, the mother of two fights fiercely for her life, only to end up as the last victim before the big double cross that eliminates loose ends.

As one marriage falls apart, another celebrates their anniversary. Well, one spouse does anyway for Andrew unknowingly falls into the arms of a sister-in-law, all too ready to enjoy the first adult relationship of her life with a man she's hopelessly in love with, even if that action turns them both into unwilling adulterers.

For the actual Mrs. Martin finally hits town, to avenge the death of her best friend, settle scores with her stranded lover and wreck all kinds of havoc in the life of a twin that, according to her plan, should've been dead by now.moreless
