I strongly object to the coming story line about Jane's out of wedlock baby. In the US today, almost half of all babies are born out of wedlock, over 70% for blacks. There was a lot of celebration over her brother's out of wedlock baby and now this. Bad enough that she turned down a marriage proposal from a perfectly decent man because she didn't want to lose her precious independence - straight out of the feminist playbook. Enough already!moreless

An interesting case here. Nothing that exciting, but certainly not the worst plot the show has ever given us.

Frost deserved a better ending, but I can't complain about the shock value at the end of the episode (even if we knew it was coming).

    • Maura Isles: The killer was a woman.
Jane Rizzoli: How sure are you about this?
Maura Isles: On a scale of one to Alpha Centauri?
Jane Rizzoli: If you have to.
Maura Isles: About a block from Alpha Centauri.
      Jane Rizzoli: That's very sure.

    • Maura Isles: Would that be so bad becoming a little like your mother?
Jane Rizzoli: I mean, nuclear war is worse, but it's close. It's terrifying, Maura!
Maura Isles: Fear is an essential part of our survival. It keeps us alert.
Jane Rizzoli: Oh, great. So, no caffeine in the morning just a big old cup of fear.
Maura Isles: I happen to think that your mom was a very great mother.
Jane Rizzoli: Well, that's because you weren't around when she was doing the mom-ing.
Maura Isles: Yeah, but I see the result. And I think that you're gonna take all the best of what she did and do it even better.
      Jane Rizzoli: I'll try.
