Another very strong episode of Rizzoli and Isles tonight, a show that has really stepped up its game in season two.
The baseball backdrop was a good idea for the show since we are in the middle of the pennant race, and they gave us an intriguing little murder mystery that the viewer was able to follow along with. The killer was obvious, but they also threw in a little bit of "ripped from headlines" story with the McCourts and the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the family battling over ownership as well.
The banter was a little sub-par tonight, but I got a few chuckles, notably after Rizzoli mocked the "I wouldn't mind being interrogated by you," line. But it was a good storyline and really that's all you could ask for.
