  • Season 4 Episode 16: You're Gonna Miss Me When...

  • Goof: Natalie was booked on four flights (Washington D.C., Hong Kong, Casablanca and Beijing) as seen on Frankie's tablet, but when Jane is talking to Natalie's mother, Senator Bloomfield, she says Natalie was booked on flights to Washington D.C., Hong Kong, Casablanca and Bangkok.

  • Season 2 Episode 10: Remember Me

  • When Rizzoli first encounters Hoyt in the hospital, he directs her attention to a book on the table near his bed, and he tells her how he loves murder mysteries. The book is The Silent Girl by Tess Gerritsen published in July 2011. It is the ninth book in the Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles series of novels which are the basis for this TV series

  • Season 2 Episode 2: Living Proof

  • Goof: Dr. Maura Isles determines that the murder victim could not be baby John Doe's biological mother because of her blood type. She states that the baby's blood type is O and the victim's is A and that it is therefore impossible for her to be his mother. This is a false conclusion.

Blood type is inherited and determined by the presence or absence of A and B antigens on the surface of red blood cells. A and B are dominant traits while O is recessive and represents the absence of either antigen.

If the father is type A, B or O then the child could be hers. The only way to conclude that it would not be possible would be if Dr. Isles knew that the father's blood type was AB. At this point in the episode, Dr. Isles did not know who the baby's father was.

  • Season 1 Episode 5: Money for Nothing

  • In the scene where Angela is selling bottles of fruit juice she gives two bottles to Frankie Jr. The first bottle she gives contains red juice while the bottle on the table closest to her contains blue liquid. When she gives him the second bottle, she picks up the bottle closest to her which now contains red juice, while the colour of the liquid in first bottle already in Frankie's hand suddenly has changed to blue.

  • Season 1 Episode 4: She Works Hard for the Money

  • As Rizzoli, Angela, and Isles pull up to the crime scene, Isles can be seen wearing her seat belt. When turning around to respond to Angela in the backseat her seat belt is then off, only to be back on again in the next shot of her.

  • Bruce McGill mispronounces the city of Wilkes-Barre, PA. It is pronounced by locals as Wilkes-Berry or Wilkes-Bear.

  • Season 1 Episode 1: See One. Do One. Teach One

  • Maura Isles: (to Jane Rizzoli) What's my ringtone?
Jane's custom ringtone for a call from Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles is the Piano Sonata No. 2 by Frédéric Chopin aka The Funeral March. Maura only find this out after asking Jane.
