  • Surprisingly enough, this show is very haunting!

This one caught me off surprise. Stine, creator of Fear Street, and Goosebumps, provides a pretty interesting, and actually creepy show for kids.

Hell, even I got creeped out by this the Lilly D. and Mascot)

From the way I see it, the show basically achieves what Goosebumps couldn't. Now don't get me wrong, I loved Goosebumps as a kid, but The Haunting Hour pretty much surpasses it in Acting, Effects, and Camera work over all.

Now I'm not saying this show is "fucking terrifying" or any of that stuff(after all, it's still aimed towards kids) But I still think it might also grab the attention of Adults and Teenagers as well.

This has my stamp of approval.
  • Feels like a mature Goosebumps. How about a Fear Street series?

  • Very Hit or Miss

To me, this show is usually quite lovely. While i say it is "hit or miss" it is probably more on the "hit" side than the None of the episodes are outstanding, however they are still quite entertaining, and you can probably even get a few laughs out of them, even if unintentional. In my opinion, the episodes NOT to watch are defiantly "Pool Shark," the "Creature Feature" two-part season two premiere, the "Most Evil Sorcerer" two-parter, and the most recent "Coat Rack Truly, i'm not sure how some of these episodes get green-lit. On the other hand, my personal favorite episodes are the "Really You" two-part season one premier, "Walls," "Catching Cold,"Swarmin' Norman," "Mascot," and While it has it's less amazing moments, The Haunting Hour is still a pretty solid kid's show.
  • A Clever and Chilling Children's Horror Series

Each episode of The Haunting Hour is a treat, and thoroughly enjoyable. It would be worth noting that it remains frightening without using blood and gore, something many in the horror industry can't say about their work. That is a feat in itself.
  • More episodes sure to give you new Goosebumps!

This is an excellent show. I am very pleased to see that RL Stine is still around. However, as opposed to the Goosebumps TV series, he has not written all the stories for this show but there are some episodes that are based on some of his short stories.

I am now 30 years old and grew up with the original Goosebumps series (TV show and books). I was only 10 years old when I read my first ever horror story, "Welcome To Dead House", which was actually the very first book in the Goosebumps series. Wow, the Goosebumps series is now around 20 years old!

The Haunting Hour is a "must watch". I like how it is darker in tone and also has some better actors / actresses compared to the original Goosebumps TV series.

However, there are problems with the show as well. One of the biggest being that some episodes end with questions being left unresolved. You will often find yourself asking "what just happened?", "why did that happen?", "what happened to that character?" or even "who was that character?". I do enjoy twisted endings (whether they be happy or sad), but when you do not even know why something happened in the first place, the episodes tend to come off as a little lazy. It sometimes looks like the writers could not come up with a general idea for why something happened and instead just decided to leave it up to your imagination. Since this is a kid's (or young adult's) series, I know of some people who have simply just been left puzzled by the end of an episode. Thankfully however, not too many episodes suffer from this kind of infliction.

Anyway, as I mentioned, it is great to see that my favorite childhood author is still around.

please don't tell me the show's coming to a end because i all ready know but wish it was it coming to a end i would like it if there where more season's of the haunting hour witch am hoping that there well be more season of the haunting hour...
  • Scary Stories

The Haunting Hour has better special effects than acting than did the 90's Goosebumps TV series. The show is aimed for children, but the stories can be even creepy for adults.
  • Awesome!

Very cool and sometimes even scary!
