Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • First appearance of Robot Chicken's recurring Nerd character. However, in all of his subsequent appearances, he appears without a pimple on his nose.

    • The way Smoke holds the hockey stick for his finishing move is incorrect, as his hands are reversed from the positions should be, as his front hand is on top of the stick, and his back hand is on the bottom of the stick.

    • After the nerd married Scarlett Johansson, they had a baby. How can they have a baby if Scarlet reveals herself to be really a guy at the end of the skit?

    • The Major Bludd action figure used for the opening of the Terrordrome sketch had a major alteration. The figure's right arm originally did not have an elbow joint or Swivel Arm Battle Grip (TM). A new arm was constructed for this figure to get around the posing limitations this would provide.

    • Sailor Moon was aired with Cartoon Network from 1995 - 2001.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Scarlett: I'm not really Scarlett Johansson. I'm a professional Scarlett Johansson impersonator.
Nerd: Oh my God! That explains why you have such a big Johansson!

    • Queen Beryl: Anime is weird.

    • Girl at construction site: Ray Charles... you talented, but you ruined my life...

Announcer: Coming next Christmas, "Ray 2: Ray's Day Out"

    • Cobra Cloner: Cloning is an intricate part of Cobra Commander's plans to take over the world, and basically-
Cobra Soldier Clone #1: Hail Cobra
Cobra Cloner:- Yep Hail Cobra, my job is to defrag the DNA sequencer before each cloning, and run thorugh the capacitor-
Cobra Soldier Clone #2: Hail Cobra
Cobra Cloner: Yeah Yeah Hail Cobra, and monitor the plasma feed. I started out in accounting, but this is alot more money and room for advancement down here
Cobra Soldier Clone #3: Hail Nobra
Cobra Cloner: Yeah Hail Nobra...Oh hang on a second...
(Grabs an Ax, and runs off.)

  • NOTES (4)

    • The Terrordrome sketch was done in the style of the British Version of "The Office". The shots and theme song are very similar.

    • Mortal Kombat

One of the shorter sketches featured a fight between Smoke and Sub-Zero, two characters from Mortal Kombat. When Sub-Zero is near dying, an overhead voice says "Finish Him!", just as it does in the video game.

    • Eight-Legged Freaks

In the Scarlett Johnansson sketch, during the montage, the nerd defends Scarlett from a giant spider in a mall. This was the writers' homage to "Eight Legged Freaks," a horror film starring David Arquette in which Scarlett played a teenage damsel in distress.

    • Wiener Schnitzel
The fast food restaurant where the nerd wins over the heart of "Scarlett Johnasson," you will notice that the design of the restaurant is an homage to Wiener Schnitzel, the world's largest hot dog chain.

    • The Blair Witch Project
One of the "home videos" in the last skit is based on the movie "The Blair Witch Project," which featured kids in the woods on search of an urban myth. The movie was also taped completely as if it were a home video.

    • Ray's Day Out

The skit is based on late blind singer Ray Charles.

The title is a parody of the 90's movie "Baby's Day Out."

This is also a "sequel" to parody the movie "Ray."

    • Terrordrome

The building used for the skit is based on the classic 80's cartoon series, "GI Joe." The Terrordrome was the base of operations for GI Joe's sworn enemy, the Cobras.

    • Ruffles
The short segment with one chip saying that he is "ridged for her pleasure" features two chips that are "Ruffles" chips, a popular chip snack that is made unique by its ridges.

The joke is about condoms, which are sometimes advertised as "ribbed for her pleasure."

    • Sailor Moon

The character used in the episode was based on the early 90's anime of the same name, "Sailor Moon."
