    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • During Euthanasia, the kid to the left does a backflip without leaving the ground.

      • During the A-Team sketch, a lawnmower is constructed over the course of devising machines to help the team escape. The "engine" that appears on the top of the mower is one of the wheels used on many of the toys in Mattel's Wheeled Warriors line. Armed Force, one such toy, had appeared earlier in the show, in the episode Gold Dust Gasoline.

      • Hot Carl...FREE
During the sketch featuring Jared, the Subway spokesman, the bakery has a chalk board along the wall, with basic items and prices that a normal bakery would have. If you notice the last item on the list, its name is Hot Carl, and, if you look at its price, it's FREE.

    • QUOTES (8)

      • Woman #1: My father has been kidnapped, because he refuses to pay protection money to a bunch of thugs!
        (Hannibal sighs in dismay)
Faceman: Sorry, lady, we're gonna pass on this one.
Hannibal: All right. Who's our next appointment?
Woman #2: My father has been kidnapped, because he refuses to pay protection money to a bunch of thugs.
Hannibal: Lady, you just hired the A-Team.

      • Hannibal: All right. Let's assess the situation.
        B.A.: I found a lawnmower.
        Faceman: I found some thimbles.
        Murdock: I found Jesus!

      • Faceman: Greetings. Is this where the thugs and/or criminals hang out? Because I too am a thug and/or criminal.
Thug #1: Holy crap, it's Faceman from the A-Team!
        Thug #2: Get him!

      • Man: $10,000 for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.
Jaws(in cognito): I say we let him go!

      • Jaws: You missed me, you dried-up douche bags!

      • Pickles: What's wrong, Herman?
Herman: Ooh, I'm constipated, Pickles. Do you have anything that you can give me for that?
Pickles: Yeah. (punches Herman in the stomach) Side effects may include: I just kicked your (beep) ass!

      • Announcer: Who killed Santa Claus? A neglected housewife? Colombian drug runners? Some retard snowman? We may never know who killed Santa Claus, but whoever did is still out there, watching, waiting. Who's next? The Easter Bunny? Cupid? That Lucky Charms Cereal Guy? Who's to say? But when it does happen, Unsolved Case Files will be there to make a buck.

      • taco bell dog: Yo quiero my nuts!

    • NOTES (4)

      • Clause & Effect
The last sketch of this episode was originally done for the creators' fourth episode of the Sony show, Sweet J Presents. This sketch is simply a remake of the old sketch, but reedited and recut for time.

      • The title of this episode, "Nightmare Generator," was one of the names pitched for the show. It was rejected, but it is used here as the episode's title.

      • Stoopid Monkey is putting a toaster in a bathtub

      • Arah-say Eller-gay=Sarah Gellar
        Illa-may Unis-kay=Mila Kunis
        Pig Latin Interpreter=Shannon Gold

    • ALLUSIONS (6)

      • Euthanasia

The advertisement for the fictitious board game pokes fun at the way board games were marketed on television ads in the past, where the child actors would act overly excited in playing the featured game.

      • Jaws: Special Edition
The sketch featuring a "remake" of the classic Spielberg movie, Jaws, was intended to satirize the remakes of other Spielberg (and Lucas) movies, such as E.T., the Extraterrestrial.

Many people criticize the remakes, becuase the changes made take away from the movie's greatness, rather than adding anything useful.

Also, George Lucas' Star Wars: The Special Edition was poked fun at as Jaws met his death, following up with a "Special Edition"-like explosion.

      • How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? :
The owl and the boy is a reference to the popular Tootsie Pop advertisement where the boy tried to discover how many licks it took to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

      • Jared in the Bakery:
Jared was a man who was quite large but then lost weight through the help of a Subway diet and exercise.

      • Betsie Ross sewing a flag:
Betsie Ross was a woman who desinged many of the US flags.

      • Tupac versus Biggie

Tupac and Biggie Smalls see each other in what appears to be heaven. They then pull out guns and shoot each other. This is a feference to their rap wars when they were alive. Both we shoot to death pressumably by members of each others rival rap label.
