FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Frank Welker is uncredited in this episode as the voices of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Scotty. Interestingly enough, Welker had a very small part in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock, dubbing in Spock's famous, long scream in post production.

    • The episode played Weird Al's song "Weasel Stomping Day", a track which appeared on Weird Al's album released two days after the episode aired. The segment from the show is included on the DVD side of the album.

  • QUOTES (5)

      Girl: I don't have insurance.

    • Kevin: Star light, Star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish, I wish tonight. I wish (turning into a robot)....Holy Crap, I got to tell Oscar. Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.
      Oscar: AAAAAHHH!!
Kevin: Hey Oscar, it's me, Kevin.
      Oscar: Oh, What happened?
Kevin: I made a wish on that star.
Oscar: (turning into a dinosaur) Dude, we've got to tell Jimmy.
Jimmy: Dudes we've got to tell Louis.
Kevin: Louis, Hey Louis make a wish. It'll come true.
Louis: Ok (turning into a giant squid)
Jimmy: Giant squid! You idiot, we're not even near water.

      Boy: Mom, I found Dad.

  • NOTES (3)

    • The Stoop!d Monkey has been fishing for a goldfish in its bowl.

    • Episode Title: The Munnery

The title of the episode is a play on the word 'nunnery.' A nunnery is another name for a Christian convent for nuns.

    • Ironically enough, given that this episode contains a stab at the U.S. Navy willingly promoting homosexuality to fill its dwindling ranks, a commercial for the Navy aired immediately before this episode first premiered.

  • ALLUSIONS (6)

    • Kraken

The Kraken reffered to in the sketch is from the 1981 movie Clash of the Titans.

    • Wizard of Oz

The sketch is a parody of the film. In the film, when Dorothy wishes to go home, she goes back to her relatives' home in Kansas. In the sketch, she is actually brought back to her parents' house, her "home."

    • Zod

General Zod is a fictional character from the Superman movies produced by Richard Donner. He is the Kryptonian mainly responsible for his own planet's destruction. His line, "Kneel before Zod!" is a line that was infamously used by the character in Superman II.

In the sketch he is used in, he is ironically leading a workout. The name of the program, "Bod by Zod," is a parody of real life workout programs, such as Body by Jake.

    • Red Shirt - This is a reference to the original Star Trek Series. The security officers wore red shirts. When there was an away party a officer in a red shirt would almost always die proving the situation to be dangerous.

    • Soundwave
The "laser cannon" that appears on the giant robot's arm during the wishes skit is part of the original Generation 1 Transformer, Soundwave. The silver plastic pieces fit into a spring-loaded launcher that was used as a gun for the toy's hand.

    • Red: It's like Andy always told me, get busy dying or get busy Kraken.

From 1994's The Shawshank Redemption, the movies' catch phrase was "...get busy living or get busy dying."
