    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Bark: But what I wanna know is... does he still have the brain in the jar?
Alicia: He does. But we didn't have any room for my clothes, so we had to put it into storage or else I'd be walking around naked.

In season 1, episode 4, ICQ, we saw Fred's brain-in-a-jar, which, at the end of the episode, was a 'brain-on-the-floor-with-a-broken-jar'.
When Bark arrives you can see the apartment across the hall is 209; in season 1, Fred lived in apartment 118, and Alicia lived in apartment 206; they are now in apartment 208.

    • QUOTES (7)

      • Bark: (crying) Tina... in accounting... broke my heart!
Fred: Oh? Jeez, I'm sorry... I... I understand.
Bark: Oh yeah! You understand! Didn't you just get married?
        Fred: Yeah, I did!
Bark: Yeah, well, I just got dumped! It's the total opposite of 180 degrees of that emotional feeling.

      • Bark: I'm fine... it's just all this talk of family, and love, and heart, and ... oh (puts hand over face, crying)... Tinaaaaaa!
Fred: From accounting. They went on a date.
Alicia: I'm so sorry. We'll just have to find you another girl.
Bark: Well, that's going to be kinda tough.
        Alicia: Why is that?
Bark: Now I'm just going to be comparing her to you. (starts crying again)

      • Alicia: [Bark]'s just so much like Gordie and Kev. So sweet... like a little puppy.
Fred: Yeah, exactly... chews on everything, needs constant attention and pees everywhere.
Alicia: Fred, Bark might be my puppy, but you're my tiger.

      • Bark: Head esthetician? That's uh... that's interesting.
Tish: Well, it's a very demanding...
Bark: Fairest Alicia! Doest thoueth needeth a refilleth of Alderbaran brandy?
        Fred: (correcting pronunciation) AlDEBarran.
        Bark: Brandy.
Alicia: I'm fine. (quietly) Maybe Tish would like...
Bark: Tish. Oh oh oh yeah. Tish, you want another one of these?

      • (Bark is describing his date with Tish)
Bark: Actually, it was like making sweet, sweet love to one of them automated milking machines.
        Fred: Romantic.

      • Hal: Dude, I gotta ask you something... how did you and Alicia...
        Fred: You know my wife?
Hal: Only very slightly. But, did you woo her... or something, over many long months?
Fred: No, it was pure animal attraction. Things got very physical, very fast.

      • Fred: Stay away from my wife!
Bark: Hey, man, I got two words for you... make up sex! That's uh... no wait, that's... no, that's two words, right?

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • (to Alicia)
Fred: Why is it sighing, my Precious?

Fred is imitating the character 'Gollum' from The Hobbit (J.R.R. Tolkien, published 1937) and The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien, published 1954, 1955) books and movies with both his voice and wording. The voice was made famous in the movie version of the films (2001 - 2003) by Andy Serkis.

      • The first wedding picture that we see of Fred and Alicia has them dressed as Han Solo and Princess Leia, from Star Wars: A New Hope (1976).
