  • Not a good performance show.

    8.0
This wasn't a very good episode, just average, since there were only a couple of good performances.

My personal favorite was Dilana, she did a great job with Zombie, great vocals and a unique performance as she always does.

Although the judges didn't like Toby's Runaway Train I have to say that for me it was great, I love that song and he did a great job with it. Off course I know that's not the right path for the band, but I liked it.

I didn't undertand how the band liked Zayra version of Everybody Hurts! I hated it just as Josh's Come as You Are that I thought it was really painful to listen.

I hope next week it gets better again.

  • Best part of the show was when they were fighting.

    7.4
The most interesting part of this performance episode was the beginning where we saw the two girls fight over the song, "Helter Skelter." I would have to say that the girl that ended up singing it did a great job. The other good (not great) performance was the girl who did the Cranberries song.

Other than that, nothing really stuck out in my mind as being a great performance. The male that sang Nirvana's "Come As You Are" stayed too true to Kurt Cobain's version. It would have been nice to see him put his own twist on this song.

One side note--I loved the newly single, Dave Navarro, and his blatant flirting with Brooke Burke and performer, Storm Large.

    • Dave: (referring to Patrice's performance of "Helter Skelter") I will say, the performance side of things was a little on the cute side.

    • Dave: (to Josh) Just remember that these guys are going to be playing at Wembly, not at a coffee house.

    • Dave: (after Dilana's performance of "Zombie") Every week I look for that one performance that's the one that gives you chills, and you're like "Oh my God! I can't believe I just saw that on Television!" That was it!

    • Gilby: (to Jenny) To me this was a step in the wrong direction. To me that was a little on the "Lilith Faire" side, we want "Ozzfest".

    • Tommy: (after Magni's performance) Oh, check this, dude. I got one word for you. Are you ready? "Magni-ficent".

    • Gilby: You know I just don't see it.
Dana: I'll show you Gilby Clarke.

    • Tommy: You are so damn hot! (pause) ...and you can sing.
      Dana: Thanks
Tommy: But I felt like I was watching a Celine Dion extravaganza.

    • Tommy: (after Jill has sung "All Right Now") Jilly?
      Jill: Tommy?
Tommy: I am definitely "All Right Now".

    • Tommy: I'd really just like to see more of you. So maybe next time, just a little less stuff. Cool?
      Storm: Tommy?
      Tommy: Whaty.
      Storm: Six letters (pause) Google.

    • Dana: Oh, shoot, you Gilby Clark.
Gilby: You know what? That's the best response. I dig that.

    • Brooke: Before we go any further, is it just me or do we have the greatest houseband on the planet?

    • Ryan: You know, a lot of people say they don't see me smile, so let's just take a second and . . . (gives a painfully forced smile)
      Dave: There we go.

    • Tommy: (to Ryan) Obviously you can sing, but I was wondering if you have duct tape stuck to the bottom of your shoes.

    • Jason: Gilby? How'd I do? How'd I do? (jumping up and down) How'd I do? How'd I do, how'd I do, how'd I do, how'd I do?
David: This is about Phil right now, you've already got the gig!

    • Tommy: Well done. You sounded killer. Horns up.

    • Gilby: (about saving Zayra) Last week, I thought we made a mistake too. I didn't like last weeks performance.
      Zayra: So you voted no?
      Gilby: I voted no.
      Zayra: Love you too.
