  • Heffer become a security guard.

The episode starts off as Heffer uses his dad's car but got into an accident with it. Heffer's dad forces him to get a job to pay for the car's damages. One night, Heffer is visited by The Seven Utters of Justice and they gave him a security guard's uniform. Later, Heffer becomes different and is rude to his friends like taking Filburt's property without showing his I.D. and gave Rocko a ticket for jaywalking. Heffer goes to Conglomo to patrol and eventually mistakes Mr. Bighead as a burglar and is over powered with authority. Later that night, Heffer went to the work company's cafe and gets a drink. He hallucinates as he sees these creepy people that resemble the people that he was mean to and Heffer ran out of Conglomo and ripped his uniform off and doesn't want to be a guard anymore. Later he was caught by a cop and thrown in jail and Rocko came to visit him to bail him out, but it turn out Heffer didn't learn anything that happened to him, so Rocko didn't bail him out. Out of the two episodes, I like Uniform Behavior more. Mostly because it has a load of humor like Heffer ran outside naked and the cop spotted him and I also like The Shining references in this episode making this a great episode of the series.moreless
  • Innuendos and nudity, stuff that had never been seen on T.V. before makes a big splash in this episode!

This is one of the best episodes of "Rocko's Modern Life" ever made! In "Born to Spawn," Filbert dreads the thought of having to go to Kerplopagos Island to 'spawn' and become an Adult! Rocko and Heffer try their best to keep Filbert safe, but Mother Nature is very compelling and draws Filbert to his homeland. As it turns out, Filbert finds out that being an adult isn't a completely bad thing! Sure, Filbert now has responsibilities, but he also has new freedoms to! So Filbert learns that while he might have to grow older, he doesn't have to grow up out of his more youthful activities and favorite things that he likes. And this episode scored major points with me for utilizing the movie of "The Shining" as a major sub-plot in "Uniform Behavior!" The riding on a scooter, the eerie twins, the bartender named Lloyd, and selling a soul for a root beer! Heffer becomes a security guard in order to get the money he needs to pay off damages he caused to his father's car. Heffer thinks that the life of a security guard will make Heffer completely big and important, but the uniform only makes him feel that way. The influence of power warps Heffer's mind in a way that Heffer wasn't yet ready to handle. Heffer finds out that the gift of power is no license to push his friends around! Heffer can't be a security guard if it means being rude to his friends! To get rid of his guilt, Heffer tears off his uniform and runs away naked from his job. And Heffer winds up alone and naked in jail. At least Rocko knows that Heffer didn't intend to be mean and agrees to pay for Heffer's release...eventually! This is one great episode for laughter and humor! :!: I highly recommend it for Nickelodeon, R.M.L., and "Camp Lazlo" fans to watch and see! Enough said! ;)moreless
  • One episode is hilarious, one is scary, Both are awsesome !

I love these two episodes ! In "Born To Spawn", Filburt turns 21 and has to go to Galapagos Island to become an adult! Filbert can't ignore the Call of the Wild and escapes to go to the Island to become an... adult! When Rocko and Heffer go and rescue Filbert, it looks like they're too late! Filbert is acting like a geek from the 70s! It seems all is lost, but then, all the turtles turn back into their old selves again! And Filbert is back to normal! Good thing this won't ever happen again!

In the episode "Uniform Behavior" Heffer gets a job as a security gaurd. but he finds out it ain't all what its cracked up to be ! That episode is really good and really REALLY scary, because there are references from Stephen King's super-scary book "The Shining" ! Anyway, these are some of the best Rocko's Modern Life episodes !moreless
  • I practically grew up on Rocko...

Ever since I was four years old, I've been watching Rocko. My mom at first thought it was like Ren and Stimpy, but after she actually watched it... let's say its the only cartoon she will stop doing whatever it is she's doing and watch.

Anyway... Rocko and Filburt are my two favorite main characters. I never was too crazy about Heffer, but he's got his moments. I like him better than I hate him, y'know?

"Born To Spawn" was an amusing episode. We learned a bit about the turtles and how persistent Filburt can really be. I loved how they had to resort to hanging him upside down in a cage in a straight jacket. XD He still got out! ^^ I liked him as "Steve" cause really, I think he looked cool! XD He was wearing a pink shirt! XD But I love Filburt, he's awsome. This was a great episode for him!

"Uniform Behavior" was a wonderful Heffer episode in my opinion. This showed a lot about Heffer's character. He depends a lot on everyone he knows, but mostly Rocko and his parents. He's irresponsible and lets power get to his head. However, Heffer has got a great attitude about things. He's ready to do a job as long as its easy enough and he likes to feel important. After seeing him in his uniform I was thinking "Holy crap! The uniform really suits him!" And really, it did. heffer is perfect for the part as security guard.moreless

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Rocko: (to Heffer, who is in his jail cell naked) You really did it this time. What came over you?
Heffer: Well, the-the 7 Udders of Justice told me that um, that um...I don't know. Maybe my hat was on too tight. There was something about that uniform that made me feel all big and important.
Rocko: What it made you was a big jerk! Now get your hat and I'll have the guard let you out.
Heffer: Thanks, man. You're the best. Ooh, can I borrow the money to fix my dad's car?
Rocko: (to the officer; off screen) Never mind, Officer. Let him stay in there for a while.
Heffer: (chuckles) Rock, you're such a kidder. (chuckles more and realizes the outside door is closed) Rock? Rocko? ROCKO!

    • Heffer: Must be vigilant, ever watchful. I'm the look out for suspicious looking creeps and weirdos.
Rocko: Hey Hef, hang on! (Rocko crosses the street to meet up with Heffer) Hey buddy where ya goin'? What's with the uniform?
Heffer: (Heffer writes a ticket) You Jaywalked, you're lucky they don't allow hanging in O-Town.

    • (Heffer goes to the security department at Conglomo to apply for the job)
Heffer: One security guard application, please.
Guard: So you wanna be a guard do ya?
      (Heffer shakes his head yes)
Guard: Think you can hack it doughboy?
Heffer: What's there to hack? Stare at a TV. Nibble on a donut or two.

    • (Heffer takes the family car to go get food)
Heffer: Let's see seatbelt, seatbelt. Oh yeah here we go. (Heffer puts on his belt but it tightens and comes off) Ah they're for sissies anyway.

    • Filburt: You guys gotta help me, I don't wanna be an adult. I've heard horrible stories about bran and strange undergarments.
      Rocko: Don't go then.
Filburt: You don't understand, the forces of nature are trying to make me go.It's ingrained in out skulls
Heffer: (Heffer takes off Filburts hat to reveal a map to Kerrplopitgoes island) Hey will you look at that.

    • Rocko: Looks great Hef, Filburt's gonna love it.
Heffer: And now the final ingredient to complete Heffers super stack pineapple cake, teriyaki sauce.

    • Officer: 10-41, 10-41, naked cow in public.

    • (after Heffer's accident with the car)
Heffer's Dad: Well boy, good thing you have a body of a tank, but the car didn't fare too well when you went through it. WHY WEREN'T YOU WEARING YOUR SEATBELT?!?

    • Filburt: And if you guys are gonna hang around, you might put on some spandex threads, if 'ya know what I mean. (winks) AH-WHOO!
      Heffer: (starts crying)
Rocko: I know how you feel Hef, we've just lost good old Filburt to Kerrplopitgoes Island.
Heffer: But I don't own any spandex! (cries)

    • Filburt: (enters imitating Rocko and wearing a very phony-looking Rocko costume) Uh... heh-heh... uh, Hef? I can't find my keys, mate! Can I borrow yours?
Heffer: (eating Pasture Puffies, not really paying attention) Sure, don't lose them.
Filburt: (still as Rocko) No problem, mate! See ya!
      Heffer: See ya.

  • NOTES (2)

    • The disco music accompanying Filburt and the other turtles' party is called Do the Boogaloo, by Quango & Sparky. It was also heard on Airplane II: The Sequel and Halloween 3 and is available as a stock track from the Sonoton music library.

    • Heffer: Do you feel lucky, punk?

While interrogating Filburt, Heffer makes a reference to Clint Eastwood's famous line from Dirty Harry (1971).

    • Visual: RoboFrog 4

While watching TV, Heffer sees a trailer for a movie called RoboFrog 4. This is parody of RoboCop (1987) and the sequel, RoboCop 2 (1990).

    • The Shining:

The scenes of Heffer patrolling the Conglom-O building during the night are all parodies of Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film adaptation of Stephen King's novel, The Shining.
