Rocko is getting his picture taken for the O-Town newspaper. Unfortunately, it's a bad hair day and he needs help.
Gutter Balls:
Ed Bighead will do anything to win the championship trophy. He commissions Rocko, Heffer, and Filburt to play against his woman's auxiliary team.

"Gutter Balls"

The episode starts up with Mr. Bighead in the attic of his house, looking through a chest with "Ed's Bowling Stuff" written on it. His wife, Mrs. Bighead calls down to him and soon pops her head out of the attic floor to see what he's doing. She tells him the girls are here. The girls are the bowling team that Mr. Bighead is coaching. It consist of Mr. Bighead, Virginia Wolfe and Tammy. He is disappointed at himself and recalls "If only I had gotten that 1 pin...."

A flashback ensues with a young Ed "Scatter Pins" Bighead getting ready to roll the bowling ball down the alley. All he needs to win the tournament and the trophy is 1 pin. He shakes himself out of the flashback and starts talking with the girls about tonight's game. If they win this game, they are rewarded a giant trophy. Just then the last team they were suppose to play calls. They tell Mr. Bighead that they quit and joined a monastery. Thus forfeiting. Rules go that if they last team forfeits, no one wins. They need some suckers to play!

Mr. Bighead heads over to Rocko's house where Filburt, Heffer and Rocko are playing "Spank The Monkey". He offers them the chance to play a game of bowling. They accept the challenge. After getting their team shirts (The Losers is their team name) and some smelly pairs of shoes, they are ready to start on Lane 13. But before they start, Mr. Bighead has another flashback to his championship game. All he needs is 1 pin to win. He intentionally rolls his first ball down the gutter. What a jerk. He comes out of his flashback as the game starts. Mrs. Bighead with a strike. Filburt with a strike. Virginia Wolfe with 1 pin. Heffer get's a strike but in the wrong lane. After the game is about half done, Mr. Bighead realizes that it's too close. So he has to do something to ensure a victory.

He first gives Rocko a helium ball to mess him up but it doesn't work. Then he puts grease on the bowling lane so Heffer slips. That doesn't work either. Virginia bowls another 1 and Mr. Bighead lets her have it. She sticks up for herself and leaves Ed alone with the other girls, but they leave as well. Back on the lanes, Filburt bowls a strike a ties the game. Ed then dresses up as Mrs. Bighead to trick everyone so he can win the trophy. All he needs is 1 pin to win. Sound familiar? Mr. Bighead has another flashback to his championship game. He gets himself ready and rolls the ball down the lane, but it sticks to his fingers and he throws it up in to the ceiling. This causes all the pillars to bring the entire bowling alley down to the ground. When the dust clears and all the debris laid out, the lane he was suppose to bowl down is completely clean and all the pins remain. Not a single pin fell. Ouch.

He comes out of the flashback and tells himself he's not goning to lose this one, too. He launches the ball down the lane. It bounces a few times and nails the center pin, getting a strike! Thus giving him the win and the trophy. As he his handed the trophy, the real Mrs. Bighead enters the bowling alley to get her purse. The bowling alley official takes the trophy and hands it over to Rocko and The Losers. Rocko thanks Mr. Bighead for the game offers to keep the trophy in the window that faces Mr. Bighead's house.
