  • Heffer has some growing pains moving out Rocko and Heffer deal with a possessed Spunky

These two episodes are really original and innovative. There isn't another cartoon that are doing such unique storylines that have such imagination. I dug Heffer working at Cluckey (Or should i say Chokey) Chicken and living in the rotating chicken. His roomate driving him up the wall was great too! The second episode where Heffer goes for a fortune reading is funny too. Nothing beats an episode with spunky on any level. Spunky brings the idiocy to any episode even if he is possessed by a 13th century hoard leader. I gave a nice high score for this episode becuse of the originality!!!!! :Dmoreless

    • (Ding dong! Filburt enters the house.)
      Filburt: Hi Hef, what's new?
Heffer: Oh y'know, Spunky's been possessed by a vengeful spirit of a failed 13th century hoard leader bent on my destruction, you know how that can be.

    • Spunky: (as Mortimer Khan) Putting me in the backyard won't help. It takes more than that to put down someone from the house of Khan! (sees Heffer in the window) Bavarian slob! (runs but is taken back by the rope) Blast this device! It is ingenious in its simplicity.

    • Rocko: Spunky, you come down from there!
Spunky: (as Mortimer Khan) Back off kangaroo boy, the cow is mine!
Rocko: He sounds just like that Mortimer Khan fellow.
Spunky: (as Mortimer Khan) I am Mortimer Khan, you ignorant marsupial!
Rocko: Gobblers! My dog is channeling a 13th century hoard leader!

    • Spunky: (as Mortimer Khan) Where am I? Hmmm, there's the wallaby and there's the stinking cow Heffer! And where am, oh just great!
Spunky: (as Mortimer Khan) I'm in the dog!
Heffer: Did you say something Spunky?
Spunky: (as Mortimer Khan) Well I guess I'll have to make due. Death to the yellow pig!

    • (Aboard the Hillenburger dirigible, we see one of Heffer's past lives; a waiter on the ship)
German Heffer: Ach! I have got to get to ze buffet before ve land!
(As German Heffer runs, his weight causes the zeppelin to tilt, and then it explodes, sending German Heffer flying through the air!)

    • Heffer: (in past life on the top of the Tower of Pisa) Hey, I can see my Mama's house! Hey Mama Mia look at me-a. (Tower begins to lean to one side) ...oops-a.

    • (In "Feisy Geist")
Heffer: (when Mortimer Kahn takes over the fridge) You have no respect for food!!! Ahhhhh!!! (begins shooting wildly at fridge)

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (3)

    • Mortimer Kahn: Saracen pig! Spartan dog! Roman cow! Russian snake! Spanish fly! Anglo-Saxon Hun!

These where all insults used by Phil Moscowitz in the Woody Allen film Whats Up Tiger Lilly?

    • Filburt: I've got an industrial sized bottle of spirit-away at home.

With the squirt guns, matching outfits and the semi-destruction of Rocko's home, as well as finally capturing Mortimer Kahn in a snow globe, this scene clearly mimics that of a similar scene from Ghostbusters (1984).

    • Mortimer: ...a hungry passenger aboard the airship Hillenburger.

The zeppelin itself spoofs the Hindenburg, a zeppelin that exploded and crashed in May 1937, killing 36 people. The name is a play on the Rocko's Modern Life director (and future creator of SpongeBob SquarePants) Stephen Hillenburg.
