  • Rocko shows off his gift of Jackhammers like a real man!

I love the episodes where Rocko's jackhammer hobby comes into the story. Where else are you gonna hear of a guy doing something like this? Unfortunately this was preceded by a less than interesting story of Rocko's height problem. You got your Really Really Big Man in there which is always solid. He didn't really star throughout the episode but he drops by at the right time. Rocko's jackhammering is still one of the best ideas for a hobby and is the reason Rocko's modern life is my top 10 best cartoon. What a heck of walloby from down under.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • In "Short Story," when it is close to the end of Rocko's dream, how does he remember about the time he saved Heffer from chocking when it was Heffer's dream?

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Announcer: Wow! What a remarkable routine by the popular little wallaby from O-Town.
Heffer: Hey! He didn't maim anyone!

    • Rocko: It's no use, my glasses keep falling off.
Heffer: Here, Rocko, try this. This rubber band will help hold it on your head.
Rocko: Okay, lets give it a try. I don't know, Hef I think it's cutting off the circulation to my brain.
Heffer: Well will you be using your brain during the competition?

    • Heffer: Rocko is feelin' a little down about his eye wear, maybe you can give him a pep talk.
Filbert: Don't worry, Rocko glasses aren't so bad. Aside from the fact that people call you names like four eyes. Girls won't go out with you, you're ostracized by every group, you can't swim with them, if you lose them you can't find them. Oh, fish sticks, I've depressed myself. I have to go lie down
Rocko: (sarcastically) Thanks, Filbert, I feel lots better now.

    • Heffer: We got here just in time. Rocko, you're blind as a bat.
Bat: Hey listen, bud. We bats are sick and tired of these stereotypes. We got enough problems with the whole vampire shtick without being classified as visually impaired.
      Heffer: Sorry.
Bat: (runs into the wall) Excuse me, ma'am. (walks in to a sheep) Oh, sorry sir.

    • Rocko: I'm rearin' to go, Hef. I've got my eyes on the prize. Do you think we could get some more trainin' in before dark?
Heffer: Gee, Rocko I thought I'd train to be a spectator for a little while longer.

    • Announcer: The jackhammering world is going gonzo for big Biff Brenderhaus, three time winner of the coveted Golden Jack award, and where does Biff go for all his jacking needs? Just listen to this unsolicited endorsement.
Biff Brenderhaus: House of Jacks is the one, oh yes. Smile and point to sign. (smiles and points to sign)

    • RRBM: You monsters are all alike. You march in here like you own the place and start redecorating!

    • RRBM: (telephone ring) Hello?...yes this is he...what's that, you say? A giant wallaby is terrorizing your town? I'll be right there. (hangs up the phone) This always happens when the good shows are on.

    • RRBM: So remember kids, don't do bad things and maybe bad things won't do unto you, something.

    • Heffer: Look out everyone! He's visually impaired!

    • Rocko: What a weird dream. (to Spunky) You were in it.
Really Really Big Man: You okay, little guy?
Rocko: You were there. (to alligator) And you.
      Alligator: Here's your box back.
Rocko: (to Mr. Smitty) And you.
Mr. Smitty: Get back to work, slacker.
Rocko: (to a tall man) And...hmm, I'd never seen you before.
Joe Murray: You're off model, Kangaroo Boy.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Rocko: Spunky, I have a feeling we're not in O-Town anymore.

This is one of many references to The Wizard of Oz (1939), when Dorothy says the same line to her dog, Toto.
