    • QUOTES (1)

      • Heffer: (after finding Rocko in the dumpster chewing on a "foot of a star," his nail-biting problem out of control, to Filburt) All this toe-chewing is making me hungry. Let's go get some chili!

    • NOTES (3)

      • Rocko and Heffer's flashback sequences in Speaking Terms are done in a slightly different drawing style using colored inks instead of black, and simplistic backgrounds. During Rocko's flashback, Heffer is depicted as a gigantic, mean hulking steer that is all purple except for his yellow eyes, and in Heffer's flashback, Rocko is shown as a small purple rat-like deformed wallaby. In addition, Heffer's voice in Rocko's flashback is done by Rocko (Carlos Alazraqui) doing a Heffer impression, while Rocko's voice in Heffer's flashback is basically Heffer's normal voice with a slight bad Australian dialect to it.

      • When Rocko hides his bitten nails from Heffer and Filbert by covering them with a ham and a monkey puppet, they ask why he has them on and he says "Everybody's got something to hide, except for me and my monkey!" this is the title of a Beatle's song.

      • Nosey is played by Jill Talley, the wife of Tom Kenny (Heffer).

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Nosey is actually a loose parody of the famous 1990s talk show host, Rosie O'Donnell, whom hosted Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards numerous times (and also guest-starred on a 1993 episode of Ren and Stimpy).
