  • good one..

The show is really improving. I know it's mainly focused on Missy Peregrym but it's good to see other characters doing something for a change.

Although Diaz and Dov are supposed to be used as comic relief they are great characters. They show some reality and make us feel sympathetic towards their rookie status.

I personally enjoy seeing the senior officers in action. They bully the rookies for a little bit but they also help them understand the procedures and how to deal with the new situations they are facing.

I know Peck's character was made for the sole purpose of being the annoying character with a sensitive but hidden side but I just hope we see more of her good side.

    • Sam Swarek: (sitting in the dark locker room next to Andy) How are you doing?
Andy McNally: Me? I'm great. Totally fine.
Sam Swarek: Okay. You killed someone today.
Andy McNally: Yeah, well, I didn't really have a choice, so ...
Sam Swarek: You wanna talk about it?
      Andy McNally: Not really, no.
Sam Swarek: Okay. You change your mind, you call me.
      Andy McNally: Thanks.
Sam Swarek: Andy, you did everything right today. You trusted your gut and you were right.

    • Sam Swarek: (Andy looks at herself in the car mirror and is displeased) It's true, you look tired.
      Andy McNally: Charming.
Sam Swarek: Hey, some guys think dark circles give a woman's face character. Callaghan doesn't seem to mind.
Andy McNally: Yeah, well, he spends more time with dead people so it's really not that hard to impress him.
Sam Swarek: Hard to get your downtime in sync?
Andy McNally: Yeah, well, you know, it's not a big deal. It's only been a couple of weeks.
Sam Swarek: Well, working detective is kind of like undercover. You know, you always got an open case, get pretty wrapped up, lose sight of what's right in front of you.

    • Sam Swarek: (about the homeless guy Andy was chasing) He was coming at you pretty hard.
      Andy McNally: Yeah.
Sam Swarek: Why didn't you draw your gun?
      Andy McNally: I don't know. I guess, I just thought that ...
      Sam Swarek: Don't.
      Andy McNally: Don't what?
Sam Swarek: Don't overthink it. Okay? That feeling in your gut? You gotta learn to listen to it. It's telling you what you need to do. You gotta learn to trust it.

    • Monica Dunn: So, your new rookie? She's pretty.
Sam Swarek: No, I'm just her Training Officer, that's all.
Monica Dunn: How did you last so long undercover?
