Rootie Kazootie

Show Summary

Rootie Kazootie is a children's television show that first aired in the 1950s. A combination of puppets and live actors, the show follows the routine daily life of a little boy known as Rootie Kazootie, a marionette controlled by puppeteer Paul Ashley and voiced by Naomi Lewis. Rootie goes on adventures with his girlfriend, Polka Dottie, and a heroic mouse, El Squeako. The diabolical Poison Zoomack is always trying to steal Polka Dottie's polka dots. Fortunately, Rootie has a magic Kazootie that he can play, a musical instrument that helps them escape from trouble.
