And people complain about the last season?!?! Bev and Jackie fighting over something stupid. The only thing different and slightly amusing is the fact that it's over some old guy.

We get it, Jackie and Bev don't get along. We get they fight and dig at each other constantly. We get Jackie is somewhat man crazy. Did they really need to write a story about Bev arguing with Jackie over some man? No. At least if it was another episode where they're fighting over Jackie's parenting skills, lack of make up, or inability to keep a man long term, it wouldn't seem they were digging they're pockets for an episode.moreless

    • David: Aren't you supposed to pick a best man you like and get along with?
Dan: That's not even true about the person you marry.

    • Bev: (upset Jackie went out with Hal) You trollop...floozy, Jezebel, little Miss round heels!
Roseanne: Gee Jackie, doesn't that remind you of your sweet sixteen party?

    • David: Is he the dumbest guy you've ever known?
Dan: I work in the construction business David. I'd have to see a list.

    • Bev: Roseanne you might like to come along too. Dance is good exercise.
Roseanne: Hey. I am not divorced, single, desperate, or lonely. What the hell do I need to exercise for!

    • Kevin: (to Jackie, facing life as a divorcee) Come on, Jackie, you'll find someone-- who wouldn't want to go out with you?
Jackie: That's easy for you to say, you little frizzy haired Pollyanna! You talk to me after a year of marriage-- after you've taken up smoking just to shave a couple of years off your miserable life!

    • Mark: Almost cutting my hand off the other day, really got me to thinking.
      Dan: Oh, yeah? About what?
Mark: Like what'd be like to only have one hand.

    • Bev: (Upset that Jackie has dated Hal) What's the matter, Jackie? Been out of circulation too long, too scared to go out with a man your own age?
Jackie: No, I'm not scared of anything. Well, there's the rabbits....

    • Leon: Stole your mother's boyfriend eh? Been there!

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (3)

    • Roseanne: (to Leon as they sort through merchandise she's received from being on the morning talk show, "Wake Up Chicago") Look at all this free stuff! This TV scam is the greatest thing I ever thought of! (singing) Da, da, da, da, da-- The stores!

The singing portion of this quote is an allusion to Lisa Douglas (actress Ava Gabor) singing, "The chores...The stores...Fresh air...Times Square!" from the theme song for the 1960's sit-com, Green Acres.

    • Jackie: (waving a paper in the air) That's it! My divorce is final! It's signed, sealed, delivered-- I'm alone!

Jackie is alluding to the Stevie Wonder song, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours".

    • The episode title is an Allusion to the song of the same name.
