  • I wish I could say I loved this episode. I didn't like it as much as I was hoping to.

    7.5
I think this could have been a very good episode of the show. I just wanted to make a point. I think the deteroration of the show is evident in this episode. Watching Lecy Goranson, returning to the show after her approximately three year absence, trying to maintain the character of Becky while interacting with Roseanne. If the show is running as it should, there would be continuity in their relationship. Lecy seems to have difficulty in maintaining her character when she is interacting with Roseanne in the important scene in the trailer home. It's funny to me too, because she seems out of place like somebody just threw her in a trailer home without her knowledge. Like the other Becky made that decision, but if the show is written well, they're supposed to be the same character. Anyways, Roseanne and Becky's relationship isn't what it was in earlier seasons. The show is trying, but something is wrong between the change in Roseanne's character and the writing. Watching it, feels like your show fell apart. I would like to give this episode a higher rating, but I don't feel I can.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • In this episode, a teenage D.J. is seen wearing the exact same University of Illinois sweatshirt a 14-year-old Darlene wore about 5 years ago in the season 3 episode, Becky, Beds, and Boys. That was the first episode in which Mark appeared. D.J. wears the sweatshirt once more in this season's finale, Fights and Stuff.

    • As Becky, sometimes referred to as Becky #1,(played by Lecy Goranson) leaves the trailer home to go to the office supply store, she wears the same jacket previously seen worn by Becky, sometimes referred to as Becky #2, as played by Sarah Chalke.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • (David's looking for an apartment and contemplating getting a higher paying job.)
Becky: Why get a job anyways? Why don't you have Miss "hot shot" here set you up in a fancy apartment in some great city. Where you going after you graduate Darlene? New York, Paris, London
Darlene: ooo, somebody's been reading Hard Rock t-shirts.

    • Dan: You have a sickness. The evil little guy in your head must have finally killed the good little guy and chucked him out the ear hole.
Roseanne: Woman, Dan! The evil little woman in my head!

    • (after the toilet flows over)
Darlene: Everyone take off your shoes and soak up the water with your socks!
      Mark: That's a good idea...

    • Roseanne (To Becky): So, you're totally determined that you're gonna stay with Mark then?
      (Pause)
Roseanne: I asked you a question.
      (Look from Becky)
Roseanne: Oh my God! So in your mind, it's already over?
Becky: No...I don't know. Hey, you're the one who got me goin' to change my life.
Roseanne: Yeah, but I didn't mean that you should throw out all these other parts of your life just because you get a new idea, Becky. You've gotta give Mark a chance, at least. I mean, marriage is a big deal ya know? Mark really loves you. You don't wanna mess this up.
Becky: Hey, trust me. Everything's gonna be OK.
Roseanne: Yeah, well, y'know, it's easy to say that.
Becky: ( interjecting) Mom! Everything's gonna be OK.

    • Becky: Why are you getting so mad at me?
Roseanne: Because you are making me defend MARK!

    • Roseanne: But...
      Becky: What's the but?
      Roseanne: Mark's the butt.

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Roseanne: "Well Mark, I guess your McDonalds game pieces are good in other states."

Roseanne was talking about the Monopoly game pieces at McDonalds that you collect to win prizes.
