How do you become an editor? What exactly is your job? It sounds like it would be alot of fun, but it looks like alot of work also.

I submitted a lot of recaps and information to the guide. When I amassed enough points above the editor, I was given the editorship. That is how it works with each guide. You see the points that the editor has, then you must MATCH them, then UP them by 80 additional points to gain the guide.
An Editor looks over all submissions, tidies up the existing guide, moderates the guide forums(THESE) and enters old and new info that pertains to the show! That is how I became editor, and a few of the things that editors do!!

Hi, I'm new to this site. I wanted to ask a question that has been absolutely haunting me for years (literally).O.k, When the show comes back from commercial, you see a neighborhood and the top of a church in the background, then you see a shot of a street sign "Third & Delaware", then the show begins. Where was that actually filmed? I hope you know because this has plagued me for years, lol.
                                                                        Thanks, Heather

    Heather,
The Church you see is actually it's back view.  It is on First Ave.  The bar used for the Lobo is just North of there a few blocks on Louisiana St.  The yellow house shown as Roseanne's house is nowhere near this area.  It is located on Runnymeade Ave. near U. of Evansville where Matt Roth went and knew someone who lived in the yellow house.  A lot of the still scenes from the first few seasons are actually shot here, like the plastic factory, and a few other buildings.  In later seasons, the only thing filmed here are still shots of the house.  The house is currently for sale again after being fixed up.  I went to the auction a few years ago when it was getting run down and the daughter of the long time owner sold it.  I bought a photo album at the auction that shows the house in about 1940.  The interior of the house is nothing like the one shown on TV.

Here is my phot album, pictures I have taken locally, and some from the show:

Umm its prouble similar to how it looks in the show if the props are left in. In the clipshow episode "All About Rosey" (I think it was that one), we see part of the house after the set and it seemed kinda the same. Sorry I dont have pictures.

It sounds like Rosie97 is interested in the interior of the ACTUAL house, NOT the set. According to EvansvilleIN's (who seems to be our best resource on the subject) post #6 in this thread, the inside of the house is nothing like what is depicted on Roseanne. I wonder if EvansvilleIN could be coaxed into posting some of those photo album shots (Hint-hint, EvansvilleIN???)

i had always thought that the inside of the house of the oringinal house was the same on the show. I never knew that they only used the house for picture purposes. my husband i love that house. thats the type of home that we wished we had to raise our two beautiful children in. thats why i was wonderingwhat the actual house looked like inside.

Do you think that in Bridge Over Troubled Sonny that Sara Gilberts parents would really let her smoke or is that some kind of trick that people can do?

That was what my mother did to me. but instead she went and bought a new pack. made me smoke that pack until i got sick. since then i havent touched one since. it might have not been the best solution but it worked.

Typically on television when there are episodes that kids or other non-smokers smoke they are actually smoking herbal cigarettes or in some cases fake cigarettes. I believe Sara Gilbert smoked in real life at least during the time of the show but not until she was older because Johnny Galecki talked about them smoking together outside on a TV Land episode about child stars (I think) where Sara Gilbert was featured.
