  • Chrystal is just a doormat till her friends help her realize she could be something more.

    7.0
Chrystal after being tired of getting walked on by numerous men, decides she should just give up. Good friends Roseanne & Jackie decide to take Chrystal out to drown out her sorrows in Pink Squirrels. Roseanne tries to reach out to Chrystal and explain to her that she doesn't have to sit back and let somebody control her life, she is her own person. In the meantime, Jackie finds Booker at the lobo with another girl, which upsets Jackie since he said he was going to visit his mom. All in all, I think this was a pretty good episode and not to mention some good lines.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • This is the 1st appearance of the infamous Landford Lobo.

    • When Roseanne is in the kitchen preparing to go outside, a few flakes of artificial snow can be seen fluttering down from her scarf. At the end of the episode, when Roseanne returns inside, artificial snow falls from her again, but should not have been seen before this time.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Darlene: (while trying to write a book report on Betsy Ross) She was born, she sewed a flag, she died, I can't write four pages on just that.

    • Becky: We don't have to go if they close the school. And it snowed a LOT last night.
Roseanne: You're going to school even if I have to hook up a dogsled to your daddy!

    • (It's breakfast at the Conner house. Roseanne slams a big scoop of oatmeal into Dan's cereal bowl)
      Dan: Thanks, warden!

    • Roseanne: What are you drinking, Crystal?
      Crystal: Oh, anything.
Roseanne (To the waitress): Give her a glass of pine tar.

    • Dan: What are you going to tell Crystal?
Roseanne: The same thing I always tell her, to give up on romance and get married.

    • Roseanne: I thought that was due today.
Darlene: Ms. Crane was sick, it's not due till tomorrow. And the forecast is for snow!
Roseanne: Did you read the book?
      Darlene: Snow!

    • Roseanne (Feeling Darlene's allegedly feverish forehead): Ooh, honey. Feels like you need some . . . knowledge, go to school.

    • Darlene(who needs help with her book report): Come on, you've gotta know more about Betsy Ross.
Roseanne: I know she had her daughter hung up from some flagpole for not doing her homework.

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Roseanne: And then you'll put on your Patsy Cline records, and sit on the kitchen floor and cry.

Legendary country singer Patsy Cline sung about heartbreak very often in songs like "Sweet Dreams" and "I Fall To Pieces."
