Jackie introduces Prince Carlos in this episode saying his full name: Prince Carlos Phillip Johnathan Kent Arthur William Hobson Peppy Charmagne
After Mark knocks over the plate in the living room to the floor, in the next shot with Roseanne looking at them all you can see the plate on the table still, but in the next shot, it's on the floor again.
Sarah Chalke as Becky is not in this episode. Becky is not at the Conner home on Thanksgiving day (Mark is in this episode).
(Bev reveals she's a lesbian during Thanksgiving dinner.)
Bev: I married a man. He was cruel to my children. And cheated on me. He had horrible table manners. And he made me drive an old car with balled tires, the bastard!
Roseanne: Mother. Try to save a little something for Christmas.
Bev: And he's not the only man like that. They're all cut from the same cloth which is why I don't particularly care for men. Frankly, to sleep with a man is to know how much you hate them. By the end of my marriage, the only way I could have sex with my husband was if I stopped off at the store and bought myself a Playboy first!
Darlene: Well, I think Grandma's just outted herself.
From this episode on, for the executive producer position, Roseanne was credited as Roseanne Thomas instead of just Roseanne.
The title of this episode is an allusion to the old, familiar adage, "Home is where the heart is".
Roseanne: (happy to learn Leon and Scott are going to adopt) That My Two Dads was a great show!
Roseanne is making an allusion to the 1980's TV series, My Two Dads, about a pre-teen girl whose mother's two boyfriends are appointed her legal guardians after the youngster's mom passes away.
