This is a decent episode because it is very realistic in regards to spending a day at the mall. Just like Dan, most of us hate circling around the parking lot begging for a spot that is easily accessible and not to far away from civilization. Let's face it, it's annoying.
Darlene reminds me of many kids who are at the mall only because they are forced to be there, so they find something to do to occupy their time. What better place to hang out than at the arcade! I can honestly say I have spent many a hour at the arcade when I was younger waiting on my parents to finish buying whatever it was they were there to buy.
Becky's aggrivation is also typical. We often hope to find that perfect item for a perfect price, but are often disappointed. She is the typical girl who his found something her heart desires, but her mother has to "ruin" it by being realistic.moreless

Becky: Why does Dad take so long to park the car?
Roseanne: Because he has to drive around the parking lot for twenty minutes looking for a spot two inches closer than the one he found ten minutes before. -
