After all of the screaming dies down, they go verify their ticket, and are bombarded by the press.   • The Conners win the Lottery!

    I love the beginning when Jackie comes to Roseanne's house in the middle of the night and screams out for her and she comes running out in her bra. It's been mine and probably many many others dreams to win the lottery and so it's fun to watch how they react to winning it themselves. This episode focuses on them having a blast thinking about all the things they could do with the money and all the media attention they start to get. This episode sets the tone for a mostly fantasy season. Some don't like to see them with money but I think for the last season I applaud that they tried something different.moreless

    • During the tag of this episode, Robin Leach makes a guest appearance as himself humorously giving a tour of the Conner home as Roseanne and Dan have just won the lottery, a parody of his television show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

    • When the family is discussing what they're going to do with their lottery winnings, Roseanne refers to all three of her husbands she had in real life. She says she is going to dump Dan (Bill Pentland) for some pig (Tom Arnold) then dump him for some really buff guy (Ben Thomas, her former bodyguard).

    • When the family is sitting in the living room in shock discussing what they are going to do with their lottery winnings, Roseanne makes a comment about getting plastic surgery. Roseanne is alluding to the plastic surgery that she had had done in real life. We as an audience had noticed her appearance changing over the run of the show.

    • The title of this episode is an allusion to the 1930's song, Pennies From Heaven, sung by Bing Crosby. It's from the movie by the same name, and was nominated for an Academy Award.
