  • A well-written episode that demonstrates the show was still top-notch even at the end of its 6th season

All the way into the end of season 6, "Roseanne" was still going strong as proven by this episode - Metcalf is comedic perfection in her scenes discussing her sexual past, first with Fred and then Roseanne. No wonder she won the Emmy yet again for her work in this episode. it's an impressive performance to be valued, especially since the writers soon turned her character into an over-the-top wacko as the show waned on into its last 3 seasons. Icing on the cake for this episode: Roseanne's jokes to Dan about his mother's odd habits. Seasons 1-6 = golden.moreless
  • Very Funny!

Hilarious Episode that everyone should watch. Although it does have some suggestive dialouge, its a great episode for everyone who enjoys comedy. This is one of the funniest Roseanne episodes and I'm glad it had to do with Jackie because she rarely gets a very funny episode to herself.

The funniest part is when they are talking and Fred says, " So three a year since you were what eighteen? And then she thinks and says, yea lets go with that. I was laughing so hard and so were my friends who were watching it with me.

Overall I loved this episode and reccomend anyone to watch it if they get a chance and see how funny it really is.moreless

    • (Jackie and Fred are arguing in front of baby Andy)
      Jackie: Baby, what's the matter?
Roseanne: What do you mean what's the matter? Can't you imagine how scary this is to him where the big fuzzy thing is yelling at the milk machine.

    • (Jackie's recounting her date for Roseanne)
      Roseanne: Sixty?!?
Jackie: Why, do you think that's a lot of people to have slept with?
Roseanne: Well yeah, for an amateur.

    • (on their date, it seems like something's bothering Fred)
Jackie: Come on, you can ask me anything. You've seen me in the most embarrassing position imaginable. And you were there when the baby was born.

    • (Jackie and Fred are late to Roseanne's house dropping off the baby before their date because Fred says Jackie took a long time getting ready)
Jackie: It's a little hard to apply eye liner when something's suckling on your boob.
Roseanne: I know. That's why I make Dan dress in the other room.

    • (Discussing the number of Jackie's sexual partners)
      Fred: 3 a year for 20 years? I don't even know 60 people
Jackie: Well, I didn't say I KNEW them all.

    • (Jackie admits that Darlene is right about David having "poodle" hair, whereas Roseanne lies.)
David: Thank you for being honest with me, Jackie. And you know how everyone's telling you you're as thin as you were before you were pregnant... you're not.

    • Fred : All right, how many people did you date before you met me?
Jackie: Well, do you mean dated at all or dated seriously?
      Fred: I mean seriously.
Jackie : Oh, I'd say only a few.
Fred: Good... Not that I mind if you've slept with lots of guys...
Jackie : Oh, well, slept with... that's now what you asked.
      Fred: Well, I guess not.
Jackie: Fred, it's not that many. I'd say...three a year.
Fred: Since you were what? Eighteen?
Jackie: Okay, we'll go with that.
      Fred: Wow!
Jackie: Come on Fred, it's not THAT many! Let's see, three a year for 20 years is... 60... wow.
