  • the beginning of the end...

Dan loses his bike shop , and Roseanne\\\'s job is going out of business.Roseanne is trying to find one, and finally ges an interwiew on the same day as the Dan\\\'s going out of business sale,

All becky can think about is Mark,Mark,Mark. She even goes is far as to tell her parents that they are basically stupid and they if they knew what they were doing, they wouldn't be in this position.Oh yeah, and they wrecked her life and now she can't go to her dream college like she wanted. (Becky is such a little snot in this episode and I loved it cuz, a normal teenager would react this way.)

Becky ends up ditching school that day under the guise of helping Mark look for a job.

She ends up eloping with Mark and calling her parents

late that night... it ends with Roseanne yelling into an empty phone for Becky to please come home...

This is a pivotal episode because Lacy gorenson left the show soon after this, and so did Bonnie... After this season.. the episode started to get to the bottom of the barrel in my epinion.. there were a few good ones after 93, and that was it...

  • Lecy Goranson's crowning moment.

    9.2
The episode starts off with the Conner's usual financial troubles. They announce to the family that they are closing the bike shop. Darlene replies sarcastically with "Can I have a pony?" Becky handles the news with her usual kindness and sensitivity. Becky finds out Mark got a job offer in Minneapolis. Becky doesn't want Mark to leave, and tries to help him find a job in Lanford. Roseanne confronts Becky about her ditching school and Becky snaps. She goes on a tirade about how Dan 'blew it' for the family with the cycle business. Dan agrees. Later, the Lanford Custom Cycle officially closes up shop, and Dan receives a phone call from Minneapolis that Becky and Mark have gotten married.

It should also be noted that this is Lecy Goranson's best performance of her career. She really went over the top with her whiny portrayal of Becky, to the point where you almost want to jump through the TV and smack her. Now THAT's good acting.moreless
