The Conner family is set to pose for a picture so Dan can have something to be proud of in his high school reunion guidebook.

How appropriate that it is only a picture. Jackie blurts out that Dan was more than well acquainted with Roseanne's longtime enemy, Phyllis Zimmer. In fact he may have 'crossed the line' in a brief but intimate dalliance with the other woman. The news is, needless to say, devastating to Roseanne even today, and she wonders if she can stay with her husband in the light of the revelation. Dan himself pleads that their relationship back then was at a low point, but he knows who wound up being more important.

Is it enough to make the difference, or is the new wound too intense to heal?

A great, heartbreaking episode with some classic lines. Proved the show could be poignant as well as funny.moreless
