  • Roseanne gets in touch with her masculine side when she dresses up as a dude for halloween.

    10
This episode is absolutely hilarious. It is definitely the best one ever. The episode deals with traditional gender roles in society as DJ dresses up as a witch for Halloween and Roseanne puts on Dan's clothes. As an undercover man, our favorite matriarch converses with a group of lowlife men at the Lobo. This scene is jam packed with hilarious one liners such as "...what does she want with you when she has a suitcase full of sex toys?". The episode also gives us another example of Crystal's desperation as she takes a liking to Roseanne (Bob). In the other storyline, Dan struggles to accept DJ's decision to dress as a witch believing that witches are girls. The other characters in the story (especially Becky) are wearing rip-roaring funny costumes throughout the entire show. It's a must see!

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Chuckie is in this episode at the beginning at Dan's poker game, but we haven't met Roseanne's friend from high school, Anne Marie, yet. Anne Marie and Chuckie got married some time after meeting in high school. We're first introduced to Anne Marie two episodes later in Bird is the Word. When talking in the principal's office in that episode, Anne Marie tells Roseanne her last name to which Roseanne responds, "what, did you marry Chuckie Mitchell?" Obviously, Roseanne is surprised to hear this. Perhaps they decided to keep Chuckie on the show after that poker game, and wrote him and Anne Marie as husband and wife.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • (Roseanne dressed up as a man for Halloween goes into the Lobo mens' bathroom to check it out. As she is looking at the urinal, a man walks in to use the bathroom. She pretends as if she is using the urinal, and starts trying to make conversation with the man who is now using the urinal next to her.)
Roseanne: (After the man ceases responding to her) Oh I get it. It's like being in an elevator.

    • Jackie: (not wanting to go to Dan's Lodge haunted house, upset after breaking up with Gary) It's no fun have some 60-year-old guy with a potbelly jump out and say ooga booga. It was scary when I was eight, even scarier now.

    • Jackie: (talking about men) Why do they do that?
Roseanne: I don't know. We're talking about the only animal on Earth that would wear black socks with bermuda shorts.
