The episode before this one really didn't amount to much. It was like 30 minutes of kissing scenes and little plot development. This was much better. Emilie De Ravin is a good addition to the show. She's great on LOST. The one thing that did confuse me about this episode was Michael working at the Crashdown at the beginning of the episode. When did that happen? Did I miss something in the previous episode? I was kind of half-asleep during it because it was lackluster. Oh well. Guess if he's hoping to limit the drama with Maria, he's made a huge mistake.moreless

So Topolski is back, I didn't even recognise her at first. She is crazy! So that storyline is the main focus of this episode, with the 6 kids all trying to act normal. And i think they succeeded. The couples are so cute, and Maria's jealousy over Max and Liz is totally understandable, i can relate to her! I love that Max tries to give Micheal dating tips, and his first gift to Maria was soo awesome!! So this is also the episode we're first introduced to Tess. She does leave a good first impression so i'm still wondering why everyone hates her.

Best quote for this episode would be from Isobel: "It's not like i'm going to fall in love with her, tell her our secret and compromise our very existence."moreless

Topolsy comes back to Roswell to warn the trio of something to come, an alien hunter. The gang doesn't trust her and she tries all kind of ways to be heard.

This episode starts the tradition of the little gang meetings in the desert.

Also it's around that time that the WB wanted Roswell to become more and more like Buffy. So the story will progress faster and faster and on screen we start to see flashier stuff.

This episode is also the first where Emilie de Ravin appears as Tess, a new student at Roswell High who obviously hides things about her.moreless

This episode just knocked me. All the emotions were played out in an excellent way. Just great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Julie Benz played the part of Topolsky great. This episode mixed fear, pain and frustration. Tess was a bit fishy showing up everywhere like she was involved, maybe she's working with Pierce. The way Topolsky asked Michael to promise her that if she gets another orb/communicator he will take her with when his 'people' come to get him. Michael was a bit of a jerk, but then you can't exactly blame someone who never really had a caring person besides two other aliens. Liz was really concerned about Max, the emotions really touched me. And it was good to see that everyone was really involved as a team. I have to say that I hate Nasedo. It was all his fault that Pierce took Topolsky. I knew that she was going to die. I felt bad. But maybe he knew that Pierce was going to be there, so he probably saved all their lives. This IS my favorite episode, it really made me wonder: Are there aliens?moreless

Topolsky’s back, but now she’s a real nutjob. She has a secret meeting with Liz and confuses the situation. There’s a new kid who seems to be a bit odd. The regular six have a desert meeting and decide not to talk to Topolsky. She tells Valenti that there is an FBI Unit of elite alien hunters run by an agent named Pierce.

This episode deals with the growing Tess issues. Also Valenti is starting to seem like a good guy. Michael tries to be like Max, but doesn’t have the requisite personal skills. Alex tries to put the moves on Isabel yet again.

A nice episode with the apparent end of Julie Benz guest appearances.
