  • Some long and boring moments in an average episode.

    6.0
Max avoids Liz because Kyle's friend attacked him and Max fears that if he retaliates it will bring too much attention on him. And it's not what an alien in the body of a 16 years old wants. So he stays away for a good portion of the episode. Although Max doesn't retaliate, Michael uses some of his powers to have some fun with Kyle's friend.

Liz receives her grandmother at home and she's the grandmother everyone would wish to have. But, it's like they tried too hard to convince us of this. How many times do they told us she's ''full of life''? I think I counted 3 with those exact same words. Hey we got the message! Anyways, this old hag finally has a stroke and Liz goes to an avoidy Max for help. Max can't heal natural diseases but help Liz say her final goodbye to her grandmother.

It's a good episode but nearly ruined with a cliché ''full of life'' (yes full of life, did I say full of life?) grandmother.moreless
  • Average episode with more character development.

    8.0
Another episode with more character development. That's what this episode is. This one puts on display a few more of the aliens power and their limits. The ability to heal for the aliens is the ability to revert the cells to their normal state. This does not apply to natural aging processes. Thus Max was not able to heal Liz's grandmother but he did give Liz the chance to say good bye. Its funny to see Isabel wait on tables just to help out. She does put her abilities to good use. Michael on the other hand doesn't, his use of powers only causes more suspicion and mischief.moreless
  • Liz's grandmother comes to town.

    8.8
Overall this is a good episode, but it was really not my favorite story line and this episode was a little bit of filler in my mind. Kyle's buddies beat up Max and because he refuses to do anything about it, Micheal goes off on a juvenile prank war against them. I also don't like how Liz just assumes Kyle was part of this because he is pretty docile and more of a stalker than a fighter in this season. Then Liz's grandmother was a fun older lady and it is sad when she dies but something about the whole moment was just wrong to me.

I like Max in this episode though as he refuses to retaliate against his attack and he tries to be their for Liz even thought he knows he needs to stay away from her. When he can't heal her grandmother because he 'isn't god' it is really touching but he does what he can when he enters her mind and let's them have their final good bye.moreless
  • "Liz, I'm Not God!"...

    8.0
i've already seen this episode three times and it's still moves me! "I'm not God!" the sentence of the episode!... I realy enjoyd this one, because we could se once again the chemistry between Liz and Max. She end'd her relashionship with Kyle in a realy bad time of her life and even not knowing why, she call Max insted of anyone else. He got's hurt because of her and still he couldn't stay away! In my opinion he probably could've done something else to help Liz because we'll see that he could play God after all in the second season.. Isabel shows some humanity and helps out a friend in need despite her shalow friends... A realy good Tearjerker...moreless

    • TRIVIA: Featured music in this episode -
      -Candy by Mandy Moore
-Then The Morning Comes by Smashmouth
      -The Weight by The Band
      -Mistaken by Save Ferris
      -Someday by Sugar Ray
-I Love You by Sarah McLachlan

    • Although Isabel says that Michael can't control his powers in the previous episode, he seems rather skilled in this episode.

    • TRIVIA: The powers used in this episode:
-Michael touches one of the jocks on the chest and induces rash-like symptoms, such as itching.
-Michael waves his hand over one of the assailant's tests, changing the answers.
-Though not shown, Michael also used his powers to melt the hinges on Kyle's locker, preventing him from opening it.
-Isabel "flash fries" a customer's burger at the Crashdown Cafe. She also heats up a cup of coffee for Maria.
-Max is able to let Liz see her grandmother one last time, even though she is in a coma. This may be similar to inducing a vision, but with another party involved.

    • TRIVIA: The room Liz's grandmother stays in is 104, just as this episode is number 104.

    • At the Crashdown, when Liz walks up to Max after the orthodontists look at her overbite, her order book skips from in her pocket to in front of her.

    • When Michael puts his hand on the jock's chest to make him itch, a handprint on his shirt is visible for a few seconds after Michael takes his hand away.
