  • One of the better episodes so far. Great Character development.

    8.5
As the story continues. I like the characters really developing their emotions and their relationships with each other. The lines of where human and aliens get defined a little bit more. While the mystery of the fifth alien continues. We tend to see how each one deals with it in each of their own way. What really surprised me that it took over seven episodes for Michael and Liz to kiss. The dialogue in the last few episodes have been getting witty and something funny. Its very interesting that Agent Topolsky and the FBI are only a few steps behind at all times. Never getting too close or too far from getting the truth.moreless
  • They aliens get closer to finding out the truth about their origins.

    9.6
This is the conclusion of what was started in 285 South (which is an amazing episode). First we see them in the dome collecting all the information they can in hopes of finding out more about themselves, anything they would have found out is promptly taken away by the FBI on the guidance of Agent Topolsky. Isabel does recover a necklace that leads them to the Indian reservation.

I love Eddie in this episode even though he is such a small part, but he was really hot and funny, I love his line about his people thanking you, it is really great.

Max and Liz's discovery is really pivotal and reveals that there is another alien out there, Nasedo.

My favorite part of this episode is Micheal and Maria whose chemistry is amazing and they have a new found like of each other after they had a 'thing'. They are so great together and there first kiss is really sweet as he tries to comofort her after yelling at her. I love how afterwards the camera backs away and they walk away from each other in the window of the kitchen.moreless
  • More information is found about who the aliens are.

    8.0
Starting directly from the end of the previous episode, there is some tension at the beginning of this, which I personally thought could have been played out much more. They escape very easily, it seems to me. Plus I'm not quite sure what Topolsky thought she could do if she found them. Even given her high kicking ability, there were five against one, and Michael could have done his itching powder guff on her.

At least they do find some new information - the pendant that Isabelle finds. Which leads to a Native American reservation. Liz volunteers to go to find out the information because the FBI is watching, and the sign on the pendant leads to a discovery of another possible alien, who could even be their father.

It's a pivotal episode in terms of storylining, though it could have more about it. I don't know why every ancient symbol has to mean a connection with ancient Native American folklore - they did it in Smallville too.

Still, it's enough to keep you watching and wondering...moreless
  • The aftermath of the previous episode leads us to some average but necessary moments and to a Native-American reservation.

    7.5
The alien trio are being followed by FBI agents and have to lay low so Liz has to continue alone their search of the fourth alien from 1959. This leads her to a Native-American reservation where Max eventually follows and pass a test to prove to a guy named River Dog that they are worthy of his information. The ''test'' could have been something more interesting.

Also the other characters deal with some of the stuff that happened in ''285 South''. Valenti now knows about Topolsky's identity and tries to toy with her. There is also Maria and Michael's flirting that continues.

This is a necessary episode for the main story arc even if River Dog's information doesn't help them as much as it could have, even if the ''test'' is actually pretty stupid to watch and even if Valenti's actions seem to go nowhere.

Roswell progresses slow in its first season but there are still enough redeeming moments in this episode to justify its existence in the season.moreless
  • Vague!

    7.8
Not so good as the first. Maybe because it's a litle bit more serious... FBI It's now more involved, Miss Topolsky it's uncovered by the Sheriff, it's getting exciting! A Symbol they all new from the past it's now recovered and Liz helps them out trying to get the ansewrs they all need. I just wish she and Max, i don't know... stay together already!... they are starting to get on my nerves!... Maria and the Space Boy are getting involved, well at least them... They found out about some other alien a possible killer. River Dog will appear in some other episode and the character will be more important then, so as i said in my last rewiew this episode it's a litle vague!...moreless

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Maria: Ok, so what's with the Tabasco Sauce?
      Michael: Sweet and spicy.
      Maria: Sweet and spicy?
Isabel: We all like things extremely sweet mixed with extremely spicy. It's our little dietary quirk.
Maria: Well, I'll have to, uh, keep that in mind.
      Michael: You do that.
Isabel: Are you two flirting? God, could my life get any worse?

    • Maria: Michael is the kind of guy my mother likes to refer to as a vibrator.

    • Liz (narrating): It's November 11th. I'm Liz Parker. All logic is gone. Here were my plans last night: finish my shift, dinner with the parents, then a half hour of talking to Maria on the phone, then dive into this issue I've been having with Geometry, and hopefully finish in time to watch this A&E biography on Madam Curie. Instead, I took off in an open-aired vehicle that probably shouldn't be allowed on the road to begin with, broke into a house, essentially stole things from it, and engaged in general bonding with aliens. Welcome to my world.

    • Michael (after kissing Maria): That was to calm you down.
      Maria: Thanks...

    • Valenti (who had been floored by a kick from Topolsky while following the teenagers): I woke up with one hell of a headache.
Topolsky: Must've had your head in the wrong place.

    • Liz: Hi.
      Kyle: Miss Texas.

    • Agent Stevens (to Topolsky): Dropkicking the sheriff is covertly?
