When Max and Liz got back from the desert they were talking in Max's jeep outside the UFO center, across the street from the Crash Down. They continued to talk as they walked across the street and over to the Crash Down. When they walked into the Crash Down their parents seemed shocked to see them. This makes no sense though because the parents were looking for Max and Liz - there's no way none of them looked out the window at all during all that time Max and Liz were outside.
When Liz and Max are first seen sleeping and the shadow moves over them, the stone they found is smooth side up and the symbol is not visible. In the next shot of the pair when they wake up, the symbol on the stone is now clearly shown.
When Max and Liz are in the back of the Crashdown kissing, in one scene his hair is flat, the next it's ruffled, the next it's flat, the next it's ruffled, and this continues.
Alex: Liz, what's goin' on?
Liz: Alex, the most incredible thing is happening to me, but I-I don't even know what it is.
Alex: What?
Michael: Ok. We're leaving now. But I have some Chaka Khan queued up on the CD player.
Michael: Listen, Maxwell. You're a sensitive guy and you have available to you one of the top three seduction lines in history with 'It's going to help me find my home planet'. And you're refusing to use it. No guy is that sensitive. Use it.
Isabel: Do you have a juicer?
Michael: Isabel, you're pushing it.
Mr. Seligman: You are an excellent student, Miss Parker. I'd hate to see anything get between you and the... uh... beauty of the universe.
Alex: In the interests of science, kissing being purported to invoke…insights, I wanted to, you know, offer myself as a human subject available for experimentation.
Isabel: Not gonna happen, Alex.
Alex: Right, right. Thought I'd give it a shot.
Michael: Did she see anyone else on the ship, like our parents?
Isabel: Yeah, like Captain Kirk and the Klingons?
Maria: I have never seen her like this.
Alex: So this was like the kiss of the millennium?
Maria: Alex, if they actually do it, she'll probably explode.
Alex: Or maybe she'll explode if they don't do it.
Liz: If you know so much, then tell me, Max, what's my destiny?
Max: I only know the part I'm hoping for.
Liz: What are you doin' here, Max?
Max: Well, I have orders from my planet to take over the Earth.
Liz: Besides that.
Even though they are credited, William Sadler (Sheriff Valenti) and Nick Wechsler (Kyle Valenti) do not appear in this episode.
