The appearance of Leo G. Carroll is ironic, since his show, The Man From UNCLE, was replaced by Laugh-In in the Monday at 8:00 spot.
Flip: Would the real Wilt Chamberlain please sit down?
Barbara: Wanna start a fifth party?
Larry: Sure.
Barbara: Good, get a fifth and come on over!
Flip: You know, I could've had the lead in I Spy, but they gave it to Robert Culp.
Gary: We'll be back after this important word.
Barbara: Elbow.
Dick: You know, rumor has it that Rock Hudson is the same person.
The short bits included Dick getting on an elevator, Judy playing ping-pong, Dick as a door sign painter, feet sticking out from under covers on a bed, and Dick as a convict about to be electrocuted, with Dan as his lawyer.
Gary Owens used the introduction "From their beautiful studios in downtown Burbank..." This eventually evolved into the famous "beautiful downtown Burbank" line.
Gary Owens makes his first appearance; he would one of only four people to appear in each season, Dan and Dick and Ruth Buzzi being the others.
Sock It To Me Time was called Sock It To 'Em time here; later on it would be Sock It To Me Time. Also, each time Dick would get it socked to him, except for the last time, where Judy got splashed.
