The show looked at the FBI. According to Harper's Magazine, the agency had a file on this episode and the FBI skit, with details on each bit. This was a part of the Counter Intelligence Program, which was started by J. Edgar Hoover supposedly to monitor threats to domestic security. The file has recently been declassified and has been posted on the 'Laugh Trackers' page of the Harper's website. It can be seen here. One note is that the date of the episode is listed as March 8, when the correct date is March 6.
