The second season premiere started with Sock It To Me Time, with everyone including the mayor of Burbank getting it; but Judy getting the worst of it, which led into Richard Nixon saying 'Sock it to me?' After the intro, Dan and Dick's monologue involved a replacement word for 'bippy' and Dave Madden introducing the confetti bit. Then the first of two party segments, several short bits , a didgeredoo chant, Dick telling Dan about going over to a lady's house, a saying from the Maharishi, an introduction of Hugh Hefner, and a song from Jo Anne. Then a plea from one of the writers, the first Gladys and Tyrone bit. and the cast told what they did during the summer. After the first break, the first 'Here Comes The Judge' bit, Dick has a date with a lady who is a Stassen man, and the debut of the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award. Then the news, where all the girls dressed like Tiny Tim. The news included Barbara Feldon as Mrs. Sigmund Freud, and the introduction of Alan Sues as the sports anchor. Then more bits, including the judge, Stranger Than Truth told by Jack Lemmon and all the girls as Tiny Tim doing I've Got A Secret. Coming back, the second party segment was all about sex in the movies. Arte did a bird imitation and Dan and Dick did some bits. The cast saluted Charles DeGaulle with only one clap, and Henry did a poem. More Funk and Wagnalls, then the first 'I think I've got it too' bit followed by the judge. Mod Mod World took the whole next segment as they looked at higher education. A fey song by Arte, more short bits, and the Discovery of the Week, Old Mother Hubbard. Finally, the Good Nights to Dick, which included John Wayne saying he wouldn't go on it this year, the closing about Dick's aunt, the joke wall and the last short bits.
