After the intros, the show kicked off with the opening monolouge, where Dick tried to get the audience to believe Kirk Douglas was coming on the show because it worked with John Wayne. Following was the party, the first Sock It To Me Time, with Judy hiding in a garbage can, the first short bits, and New Talent Time, which featured Sonny with a seal, and Paul Winchell's first appearance as Lucky Pierre. Next, the second Sock It To Me Time, where Goldie hit herself on the head, more short bits, the news, with the girls as rifle corps members, more short bits, and the first question of the night. Afterwards, the first joke wall segment, more short bits, and Mod Mod World about the hereafter. Next, the third Sock It To Me Time, with the cast anticipating it, more short bits, the public opinion poll and a salute to George Wallace. Finally, Barbara, Judy and Goldie sing 'We've Never Been To A Love-In,' more short bits, the good nights, the last joke wall segment and the last short bits.
