Lily: What would you get if you crossed a birth control pill with a fertility drug?
Ruth: An anxious nine months!

Lily: In 1970 almost every TV program tried to feature at least one performer who represented the black people. In fact, there was only one show who seemed to avoid the black issue completely; that was Julia.

Gary: In beautiful downtown Burbank, it's harder to find temptation than it is to resist it.

Barbara: Is it true that your favorite comedians are Flip Wilson and Sen. Fulbright?
William: I don't think Flip Wilson is so funny.

Ann: You know what led to our problems in 1970?
Nancie: No, what?
Ann: All of our problems in 1969.
Nancie: That's tacky, but it's true.

Phyllis: Sen. Strom Thurmond had a baby at 67...which is pretty old for a baby.

Johnny: Last year the women's liberation group and the Gay Liberation Front tried to solve their differences...only to find out there were none.

Barbara: Miss Diller, what can a girl do about bad breath?
Phyllis: Keep your mouth shut.

Phyllis: I asked my doctor recently if I should undergo a change of sex. He said, 'From what?'

Ann: I know a woman who had to stop taking birth control pills because she developed side effects--triplets!
