      Phil Silvers brings his fast talking character to the show.''''The show starts with several one-liners, Jilly Rizzo introducing Dan and Dick and Phil saying that the best of comedy is in the past, with Dan and Dick saying there are catchphrases that get laughs now, including 'Sock it to me.' It ends with Phil saying it and getting doused. After the intros, and a short bit, Mod Mod World saluted the comic. This included a look at surprise, the pun, Phil teaching Dennis about visual comedy with a board, several mother-in-law jokes, the great show biz families, Phil trying to get Wolfgang to play the shell game, and Dan tricking Dick into getting a pie in the face, only to get doused with water. Next, more short bits, an optical illusion, and the news, with the Mothers Of Rhythm doing the opening theme. After the tasteful lady objects to a joke by Phil, he thinks she was a burlesque dancer in Detroit, then Edith Ann tells what she did with her uncle's Playboy. Following, more short bits, The Quickies, The Swizzlers, and Big Al covering the new sport of federnik. Then Phil gets Barbara booked on the show, more short bits, Ruth as an etiquette expert teaching how to eat spaghetti, and a bit where Dick uses his new portable phone to try and get a hold of Dan. Then the party, more short bits, Mervin the Magnificent, and Phil as a psychiatrist on the couch with both Dan and Dick.
