This is the first episode with Joe Alaskey doing the voice for Grandpa. In 1997, the original voice, David Doyle, died of a heart attack. His last episode where Doyle voiced Grandpa was the "Grandpa's Bad Bug/Lady Luck" episode. At first, when Alaskey voiced Grandpa, Grandpa sounded like Daffy Duck on pot (with apologies to Mr. Alaskey), but since the 1999 season, Alaskey got the voice of Grandpa right since his voice was nearly alike compared to Doyle's Grandpa voice.
