goof: In the Rugrats episode "The Sky is Falling!", when the world is just about to "END", Angelica herds the babies into her "Fall-in Shelter." First of all, the sign was so neatly (and professionally) printed (neither Stu nor Chas did it-they were playing tennis at the time); when Angelica makes more signs in the series, it's just a bunch of scribbles. Second, note the words. At one point, "shelter" was spelled "Sheltel".
Goof: In "Kid TV", Angelica says that the TV is dead, and the babies react, but in "I Remember Melville", which airs after this, Tommy and Chuckie don't know what dead means.
Tommy: (Phil and Lil start fighting) Stop it guys, there's too much violence on television already.
Angelica: We only have room for four people in the shelter. We're gonna need brave people in the new world, Tommy come on in. (Tommy quickly enters the shelter) We're gonna need cautious people in the future, so Chuckie come in. (Chuckie enters the shelter) And we're obviously going to need more girls than boys, so Lil come on in. (Lil gets in the shelter) (Angelica closes the shelter door, leaving Phil outside) Phil: What about me? Angelica: Sorry Phil, we just don't have enough room for everybody. Lil: Philip! Phil: Forget about me, Lillian, have fun in the new world. Lil: No Phil! If Phil can't be saved, then I don't wanna be saved neither! Angelica: Well fine, Lil sorry you feel that way. (Lil leaves) More room for us then. Tommy: No, Angelica I'm not leaving our friends neither. (Tommy leaves too) Angelica: Well then I guess it's just you and me, Chuckie. Some brave new world... Chuckie: (Seeing Tommy standing outside) Sorry, Angelica. (Chuckie leaves) Angelica: (To Cynthia) Well fine! All the more for me! (The next scene all the babies are in the shelter with Angelica) Phil: Thanks for letting me come to the future with you guys. Angelica: What can I say? I'm a softie, it's my one flaw.
Chuckie: After living through the end of the world, being scared of anything else seems silly.
Phil: Thanks for letting me in, Angelica. Angelica: What can I say? I'm a softie. It's my only flaw.
Chuckie: Why did it happen? How did it happen? Nobody knows.
Lil: We like commercials! Phil: They're the bestest part!
Chuckie: (Lil whispers in Chuckie's ear) This just in! Phil is a doo-doo head. (Phil whispers in his ear) Flash! Lil has peanuts for brains. (Lil whispers again) Wait just a moment. Phil wouldn't know brains if they bit him on the nose... (Phil whispers again) We have an update. If brains were gasoline, Lil wouldn't have enough to power an ant's motorcycle around the outside of a penny. Lil: WHAT?! (Tackles Phil)
Angelica: It's not fair! There's so many toys I haven't broken yet! So many cookies I haven't eaten!
The Sky is falling The title is based on a fable of the same name and, the tennis ball hitting Angelica in the head is similar to the acorn hitting a hen, Henny Penny, on her head.
In "Kid TV", Angelica has a small pink bottle of potion called "Beauty Juice". This pink substance somewhat resembles the pink potion, used to stop the process of aging in the movie Death Becomes Her, co-starring Goldie Hawn.
