  • Quotes

    • Young Drew: Let's play "Haggle"
Young Stu: But I hate that game!
Young Drew: (Opening register) Here's twenty.
      Young Stu: No.
      Young Drew: Take it!
      Young Stu: No!
Young Drew: Take it! (Stu takes the $20) Now, which toy do you want to buy? (Stu picks a toy) Mr. Machine! Good choice, that's be ten dollars. (Stu tries to hand Drew the $20) You're supposed to Haggle! (handing Stu back the $20) Offer me less.
Young Stu: You said it cost ten.
      Young Drew: You gotta Haggle!
Young Stu: I wouldn't haggle if you were to give me five-hundred dollars!

    • Stu: It's our right to watch cartoons! Not my mom! Not my dad! Not even President Weisenheimer's gonna stop us!

  • Notes

    • For some reason, Cree Summer was absent in this episode and Elizabeth "E.G." Dailey portrayed Susie's voice.

  • Allusions

    • Blocky and Oxwinkle is the Rugrats' knock-off of the famous classic animated show Rocky and Bulwinkle and Friends. To complete the allusion, June Foray, the actress that voiced Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha the villain, voices Blocky and the female spy in Blocky and Oxwinkle.

    • The two shows Stu turned on when he was jumping on the trampoline are apparantly knock-offs of The Flintstones and The Jetsons.

    • Mr. Namby: It's the Edzell. It won't start!

The Edzell is obviously a parody of the Edsel, a car manufactured by Ford Motors that was famous for being a lemon back in the late 1950s.

    • Susie/Tommy: (looking through a book of monsters)The U-u-morph. He likes dark places.
T: I bet he's the one in your basement.
S: Naw. No one's seen him for like fourteen kajillion years. I think he fell into a volcano or something.
This is a reference to the creature Gollum from The Hobbit and LotR, former owner of the the One Ring who is under Its control. He lived in a cave deep within the Misty Mountains, scorning the light. He fell into Mount Doom, bringing with him the One Ring, and thus destroyed the Dark Lord Sauron.
