Episode Summary

EDIT
Uneasy Rider: Chuckie learns how to ride a bicycle, with a little help from Angelica. Once he learns, he is befriended by other big kids with bikes. But who are his real friends -- the big bike kids, or the Rugrats? Where's Grandpa?: The adults accidentally left Grandpa behind at a gas station while trying to take home an easily-perishable banana tree they purchased from a nursery about 3 hours from home. Grandpa unwittingly hitches a ride with strangers, but everyone ends up at a cheesy, Canadian-themed tourist stop called "North Of The Border" ("Where You Can Go To Canada Without Crossing The Border"). Tommy & Chuckie try to reunite Grandpa with Stu & Didi, but there's one slight problem -- Grandpa thinks he's in Canada -- with no ID (Tommy threw his wallet out the car window).moreless

    • TRIVIA (4)

      • Goof: In Where's Grandpa?, the Yukon Ho! train's whistle keeps alternating between a traditional steam whistle and a diesel locomotive's horn.

      • Goof: In one scene during the episode "Uneasy Rider" when Spokes is talking to Chuckie by the water fountain he puts his hand on his waist. If you look carefully you can see that his hand is backwards.

      • Goof: on the episode "Uneasy Rider", there is a scene when Angelica puts her hands on her waist and one of them are backwards.

      • Goof: In the scene where Chuckie is riding his bike and pulling Tommy, Phil, and Lil is a wagon, he was telling them his experience as a big bike kid, explaining the requirements for being one, and saying that he wasn't ready yet, Tommy said, "Ah, that's okay Chuckie, we're just glad to have you back," then Chuckie said, "Me too guys," and then he laughs. You can see his mouth moving, but he doesn't smile. Now, how can one laugh without smiling?

    • QUOTES (1)

      • Angelica: Just answer me one question. Did you get any boo-boos? fall down? crash into a tree? smash up the bike?
        Chuckie: No but-
        Angelica: BUT WHAT!?
Chuckie: Um... Thats more than one question.
        Angelica: Thats not the point!

    • NOTES (2)

      • Where's Grandpa? is the first episode with Joe Alaskey as the voice of Grandpa Lou. Famous for voicing Plucky Duck on Tiny Toon Adventures, Joe assumes the role for the remainder of the series, replacing the late David Doyle.

      • The voice of Spokes, the leader of the "big bike kids", is voiced by Mary Kay Bergman, who's also the official voice of Snow White for Disney; her other voices include Mrs. Butterworth in those syrup commercials and Daphne in the new (1990s) Scooby Doo movies, among others. Her most famous role was on South Park (not for children), where she, under the name "Shannen Cassidy", provided the voices for all but one female character in that program. Unfortunately, her brilliant carrer came to a tragic end on November 12, 1999, when she commited suicide by gunfire.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • "North Of The Border" is a take-off on "South Of The Border", a popular, Mexican-themed tourist stop on I-95 at US301 near Dillon, SC, immediately on the south side of the NC-SC border. NOTB's mascot, Jacques, is, more or less, the French counterpart to Pedro, the mascot of SOTB. One thing NOTB doesn't have is a liquor store, which was SOTB's main intent when it first opened in the 1950s (at the time, North Carolina's liquor laws were more restrictive than that of South Carolina's).

      • Title: Uneasy Rider
Comes from the title of the 1969 film Easy Rider.
