The wants of many fans has been answered! Rules will return for a 3rd season!

Luckily for me, this wasn't at the expense of any other CBS comedy show, esp. Old Christine. This is because of CBS's hopes to open up a second night of comedy!

I'm glad to see it's back, even if it's for one more 13-ep season.

It's very sharp. I'm a big fan of "war of the sexes" comedies.

Warburton is such a natural; like a young Walter Mathau.

All I know is it was renewed as mid-season with a 13 episode order. Probably January or March, depending on if one of the new shows doesn't get canceled by then.

Worst Week is about to be given the axe. Expect it back in November or January.

I hope Worst Week doesn't get the axe. I love this show but I find Worst Week to be much funnier.

Whether Worst Week is funnier or not (I've never seen it, so I can't say) has nothing to do with CBS' decision. The fact is that Rules has a better retention of the Two and a Half Men lead-in than Week does. And Old Christine better than both of them.

If they cancel the Wednesday Night Comedy Block, CBS is going to have a lot of decisions to make!

Christine never beat ROE after Two and a Half Men. ROE averaged 12 million last year after 'Men.' Didn't Christine average about 9-10 million?

They were actually pretty much equal. Old Christine averaged about 10.5-11.5 million in it's 3rd season, where Rules, which premiered it's second season at about 12, averaged from low 10's to mid 11's. So it is pretty much a wash on who was better. I have no clue about the demographics, though, which plays the biggest factor.
