Episode Summary

EDIT
Jeff has trouble asking people in his office to donate to the 10K charity run Audrey will be in after he's told them he's done with their endless appeals for contributions. A girl seems to be using all the blow-off tactics on Russell that he typically uses on girls himself.moreless

Has there been another writers strike ? where the previous season writers on the weed ?

this season seems to have lost the magic, mainly with russell and adam

russell seems to have got brain damage this season, he's more annoying, stupider and totally clueless, this whole hump and dump plot was stupid and yes she may of seemed legit but just before the credits she left him again with a note...i know he is the shallow guy peter pan type but still why would you turn up at 'friends' house only to wreck the place and be astronomically selfish self centred and obnoxious ??!!moreless

Rules of Engagement hasn't been that great as of late, but there has been some stand out episodes this season. This was not one of them. At least this episode was better than the last, but still this episode was a bit devoid of laughter. I may have laughed twice which usually isn't the case for this show since I usually laugh way more.

The plot was too weak for my liking. Audrey sleep running? Although I liked the song, I really didn't like the plot, it was a tad ridiculous and I think they should have conveyed Jeff's money insecurities in a better way or at least concluded it with some sort of heartfelt conversation with Audrey about their issues with money.

The subplot with David Spade's character was okay. Adam was just about the only thing good about it with him "rooting" for their relationship. Jennifer's absence really wasn't a big deal. I hardly knew she was gone. The ending salvaged the episode with Timmy being wrong and his reaction to it.

Overall a watchable episode of Rules of Engagement, but not one of their best.moreless

Rules of Engagement, after hitting its stride last season and being one of the best comedies on television, the show has fallen off big time this year. Don't get me wrong, you are guaranteed to laugh a lot when you watch this show, nearly everything Jeff said in tonight's episode was amusing, but the show has run out of storylines here. Having Audrey sleepwalk a run? Really? Timmy is either overused or underused by this show and tonight was one of those nights he was underused.

Not a terrible episode, but just not one I would really be able to call "good."moreless
