Okay, the David Spade storyline was ridiculous here. I will admit I chuckled when the computer fell and proceeded to light on fire, but this was just completely necessary and seemed so forced.

But the rest of the episode was just good old-fashioned humor, the kind of thing this show has proved the critics wrong and used to get to this fifth season they are currently in. From the discussion about the rug in the rug place, to just about everything Jeff Bingham said, just a great episode of Rules of Engagement, which clearly was the best show of the evening.moreless
  • Terrible episode. Horrible characterization of the adoption process

    1.0
This series is getting very desperate. They are trying anything to stay on the air. Now they've resorted to poking fun at the very serious issue of adoption and waiting children. At one point Jeff says "If they (the adoption agency) don't like me, I'm not buying one of their used babies." As this character said this awful thing about waiting children. I was sitting on my couch at home with my adopted daughter, and she hears garbage like this coming from the TV. There are just so many families that choose to build their families through adoption, you would think that the writers and networks would be a little more sensitive to the issue. The series was going down hill anyway, and for me, this just ended my viewership. And if anyone thinks I'm being overly sensitive about this issue, Adoptive Families magazine is going to give this series an official thumbs down, which are not issued for any little slight to the adoption community.moreless

A ridiculous episode of Rules of Engagement here, everything David Spade did was ridiculous and unfunny, I found myself rolling my eyes ever time that David Spade was onscreen. I never liked the younger couple and the fact all they did was "break in" the rug wasn't very entertaining.

I think the strong point of this episode was Audrey & Jeff looking for the rug, definitely classic humor of this show, and I did get a few laughs, but one good plot out of three isn't a sign that this was the best episode of Rules of Engagement. Megyn Price did great, and I commend her for her role on this show.

An okay episode, enetertaining at best, didn't get much laughs.moreless
