  • Over what hill? Where? When? I don't remember no hill.

Rather uneven episode in which every one is under the impression that Rumple is ready to retire. Everyone that is, except Rumpole. Too much is made of his looking tired and taking on more than he can handle. Meanwhile Rumpole is defending a man from a family that he has defended in the past several times; this time a stolen painting is involved. But so much time is given to whether or not Rumpole is going to retire that even after too long scenes in the courtroom they leave the case unresolved. Kudos to Rumple for staying on and fighting the good fight.moreless
