  • The subject is wine tasting and stealing

An ok episode in which Rumpole is invited to a wine tasting contest, which he seems to think he would be very good at but fails miserably. After taking on Liz Probert as his pupil (since Fiona has married and moved away), Rumpole now must defend another Timson in trouble. His crime: having stolen wine on his premises. Do I detect a theme here..:). After a change of judges, he ends up with Judge Bull, much to his dismay. Rumpole goes so far as to have a bottle of the wine tasted in court by the judge and it turns out not to be what the bottle label claims. The cheap wine was put into bottles with expensive labels and then "stolen" so they could claim the insurance.moreless
